9. OBL also said Bush Gave Aid to the Enemy (him)
By reading "My Pet Goat" instead of reacting like a President should in crisis, OBL said Bush gave the terrorists about "20 minutes" more time to coordinate their attacks and kill Americans.

3. Every day OBL lives out of custody is another insult to the US
and the victims of 9/11.

Bush failed to capture OBL. Bush failed to secure Iraq. Bush failed to find WMD. Bush failed... Big time.

4. JEEZ people
we CAUGHT Zawahiri--the MASTERMIND--remember? In 2002? So how did that help???? HUH???????? Al Qaeda is all over the world. Bin Laden is just a figurehead of the group. If catching Zawahiri was such a BIG DEAL, why haven't we captured OBL and why haven't we managed to knock out Al Qaeda everywhere? ANSWER: Because BUSH fucked it up and took us to Iraq to chase down some oil. THAT'S WHY.

5. It proves that Osama can both run and hide.

Shrub has to be unhinged with fury. Can you imagine what it must be like for widdle Shrub to have Osama make fun of him?

14. How do we know he can't? They could have been
wiggling like mad under that turban. He knows how to stick a long bony finger into Shrub's eye. I would believe the tape was really recent if he had mentioned Shrub's hump. Wonder how long the Pentagon sat on it.

7. In total, hurts
Gives Kerry instant ammunition, because OBL -didn't- say that a Kerry admin would be any better for him -- because it's the policies he objects to, not which prez.

Additionally, he made a HUGE dig at Shrub giving him twice as much time as he thought he'd have to do the 9/11 thing, because Shrub chose to read My Pet Goat instead of mobiling the national defenses.

Main thing is it lets Kerry point out that OBL is still there, when Shrub had a chance to get him and blew it.

10. I think it helps him more than it hurts him
but it won't help him enough.

It helps him because it takes attention away from the recent issues that have come up in Iraq, and again puts attention on Sept. 11, which is generally to Bush's favor.

But it's too little too late.

If he wouldn't have dropped the ball in Afghanistan because he was so hell-bent on invading Iraq, Osama may have been captured a long time ago. Guess we'll never know now, will we?

17. How could it not hurt Chimpy?
I don't see how this helps Chimpy. After all, doesn't it remind everyone that Bin Laden is still around while Chimpy took us to war in Iraq? I think everyone's minds are pretty much made up on who they're voting for. Give it a couple of days for people to really think about it and it helps Kerry.

19. Hurts the shit out of Bush
Bush promised to bring in OBL dead or alive. That was 3 years ago.

And yet there is OBL, looking healthy and broadcasting from a studio, for chrissakes! He has obviously upgraded from his cave on the Afghan-Pakistan border.

OBL is mocking Bush, lecturing America on what we should be doing even as he admits he did 9/11.

I can feel the rage welling in me just thinking about this rat bastard thinking he can negotiate with us. Fuck him. We need a president who will hunt that cocksucker down and bring him back to New York in leg irons to stand trial.

This shows Bush for the impotent little twit that he is.

20. I agree
I also feel a rage that this murderer is still on the loose. It's a slow rage, but a rage nonetheless. I feel a rage because if Chimpy would have concentrated on getting Bin Laden, we wouldn't have to listen to this tape today. I'm pissed!

25. thus far
it's 78% hurts...

looking at the larger version of the photo, i'm not completely convinced that isn't someone mocked-up to look like bin laden. the nose looks sorta fake, almost halloween mask-like.

then again, i'm not a tinfoilhatter, and don't particularly care if it's actually him or not.

this kicks bush's arse, plain and simple...

GOTV!

35. Well, at least one victim doesn't see
anything positive for Shrub about this whole thing:

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/opinion/10033341.htm?1c

Recently, I watched in disbelief a TV commercial about the Bush administration's ''war on terror,'' combining it with ''Ashley's Story,'' about how President Bush comforted this young 9/11 victim's family member. The point was to show how much he is doing to secure justice and keep Americans safe from terrorism, all the while appealing to a sense of patriotism and thus winning votes.

As a family member of a victim, I find this type of ad offensive.

This ad suggests that the invasion of Iraq was connected to keeping Americans safe and fighting a war against the terrorist that attacked us. It seems to me that Bush is hiding behind the American flag, especially after the invasion of Iraq produced no weapons of mass destruction. The war in Iraq has provoked more hate and put all Americans at greater risk of attack than ever before and has not made the world safer.

What Bush has done wasn't leadership under attack but a disgraceful diversion. There is no way of rationalizing the small amount of resources and efforts against Osama bin Laden/al Queda in comparison to the huge focus and effort put into Iraq. In a nutshell, Bush has done little to bring about justice for American victims of terrorism. Rather, by invading Iraq, he has provoked and created so much more for Americans to overcome. Our position as international leaders for peace and justice has been tarnished.
