OBL asked to appear by Saudi Family?
I heard a stat this week that whenever a terror alert goes up, El-Shrubarino gets a bounce.

Could Bin Forgotten be safely squared away in Saudi Arabia with family and friends doing a favor for the royal family to help Bush by releasing a video? After all, he need dialysis, he's wanted everywhere with a pretty recognizable face, and he looked pretty well-cared for in the video.

This takes the attention off of a lot of negative news for Bush in the final days...

Crazy conspiracy theory or possible?

2. Bin Laden is FREE
HOW is that not negative for Bush?

Just one more straw on the camel's back how many ways Bushchimp has fucked up.

3. Infinitely possible.
Why would bin Laden's family give him up? Zawahiri was already caught, the "mastermind". But let him use OBL? Why not? I think it's pretty clear that OBL wasn't pushing either Bush or Kerry. Clearly, Rove was afraid to have him do either--because you couldn't predict the outcome. So just put him out there to scare the public a little and see if it gives the Shrub a little boost.

4. Actually, that is quite possible.
He kept control of the statement, but gave them their appearance video.

I still don't see how it helps Bush. I look at bin Laden and I see pure Bush failure.

5. I think Bin Laden works for the Saudi gov't.....
His main job is to deflect attention from toppling the Saudi Royal Family.

So Rove puts in a call to "Bandar Bush" and *poof* Bin Laden appears.

6. Agreed. The call was put in.
He said nothing substantive. He merely took everyone's attention off of a daily onslaught of Bush failures and gave the GOP the opportunity to spotlight warm-n-fuzzy post-911 thoughts and images.. and kick the fear factor up a notch..

Isn't the Bush record clear?? He failed to protect us before; he has two wars under his belt that are riddled with failures; he can't articulate what he's done, what he's doing or what he plans to do.

OBL ain't smoked out unless you count puffing on a hookah with the Saudi Royal Family smoked out..
