They just said on Anderson Cooper that * knew about the tape this a.m. some 8+ hrs. before he gave his "statement." Before Al Jazeera had even shown it yet. And what did he do? Nothing. For hours and hours and hours. Just like 9/11.

If I recall correctly, all the previous OBL tapes were fiddled with for awhile prior to authentication.

I mean, this was declared legit within minutes of its broadcast.

The timing also stinks -- Friday afternoon, right before the big news round-up over the weekend? :grr:

They knew about the video in advance, and if Average Jo Blow had more time to reflect on it, it would appear to be very bad for Bush; Now you have tweetie calling B a Hero during 9/11! If he says that imagine how * supporters are thinking!

I think they knew about it before, and carefully timed the release, damning though it appears to Bush.

I was wondering what it might be this time. Word has it that there are people in the Pentagon and the CIA who are out to get Bush/Cheney. The news dump this weekend was rumored to be designed for just that.

Fittingly so. All we need to help seal the deal with undecideds is to rub Bush's nose into the stinky pile of Osama's living presence.
