Good message on the day Americans were reminded the incompetent AWOL idiot failed to capture Osama bin Laden.
http://olympics.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=poli... MIAMI (Reuters) - Democratic challenger John Kerry said on Friday the safety of Americans was at stake in next week's election and refused to let a new Osama bin Laden videotape overshadow his race with President Bush.
After the leader of al Qaeda -- responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks -- made new threats, the Massachusetts senator told reporters he would hunt down and destroy terrorists, but did not mention the tape at a rally in Miami with rock legend Bruce Springsteen.
In a bitter and deadlocked election, some political analysts said the bin Laden tape could help Bush by reminding voters of his perceived strength -- fighting the war on terror. Others said it could benefit Kerry by reminding them that the al Qaeda leader was still at large and a threat.
At almost every rally, Kerry has argued that Bush made a huge mistake in late 2001 by failing to send U.S. troops after bin Laden when he was believed to be trapped in the Tora Bora mountains of Afghanistan.
