Let's all be honest here. George W Bush is going to carry Texas easily. |
|
Thought I would have a bipartisan moment.

People are more disenchanted with him than 4 years ago, even in Texas

i think he probably will. But thanks to the secret ballot, there's always the possibility that many people will have a sudden burst of conscience and then Kerry will win in a landslide.

11. Nope, can't give him Texas, Idaho, Wyoming or any other |
|
damn state. I'm not giving an INCH - not one single smidgen. I'll be bi-partisan when the stakes aren't quite so high (20 years, maybe?)It ain't over until its over and I think the game is just getting fun.
NOT ONE INCH.

Very heavy turnout for early voting down here. I stood in line for an hour this morning, and this is in Tomball, a fair distance outside of Houston. Some folks in line had driven from northwest Houston because the lines there were running 2-2.5 hours.
They say you don't get heavy voter turnout when people are satisfied with the status quo. But then again, this is the first presedential election after 9/11/01, so it may just be indicative of the hyper-patriotism that was born of that event.

but not easily. Gore got 38% of the vote in TX in 2000. Since then TX Dems have been fucked over royally by the redistricting mess helped along by DeLay and are madder than hell. Dean stirred us up about 18 months ago and now Dems here are so solidly behind Kerry it isn't funny. Add to that the moderates and reps who are going Kerry and I think Kerry will get 45-48% of the TX vote.
Which means that bush will get TX, but the numbers will be very embarrassing for his supposed home state.
