That was a great speech by Kerry on CSPAN in Orlando
And his theme of a fresh start for America, really echoed FDR. He went beyond the normal "I'm good", and "opponent bad" thing, and laid out why he is a fresh start, and how we need to move forward. This was an important speech in the last days.

2. I was there...there were a lot more people than you could see.
For whatever reason, (perhaps the fact it was put together in one day) they picked a small area in the Expo Center, and set up a 4 sided bleacher area with chairs on the floor.

The lines went around the block, and they had people behind the bleachers--peeking through.

He stayed away from missing weapons altogether...it kinda' surprised me.

3. As I Said in an Earlier Thread...
when a candidate goes positive during the final days, it's because they know they're winning and want to create the air of moving forward, changing times, hope and optimism

I read an AP story earlier where the blathering fool otherwise known as WH Press Secretary stated that Bush would spend the final weekend reminding Americans of the good that he's done. Blahdy, blah, and yada yada.

You want the final days of a campaign to be about you, not your opponent. However, the OBL tape has backfired on Bush "bigtime". The campaign now has to spend time answering questions and once again attacking Kerry. They can't focus on Bush "the good, honest, Christian that most Americans want to have a beer with" or some such.

Kerry can now leave the hammering to John Edwards, General Clark, Bill Clinton, etc and focus on being positive, proactive, and most of all Presidential.

5. I agree. Kerry must know he's doing well...
...since he did not waiste all his time hammering dumbo. If he was doing bad, he would have been desparate. He was anything but desparate.
