and there is no way, barring enormous voter fraud, that kerry isnt going to beat that by a mile.

let the repugs feel what we've felt for the past four years. The only difference...JK will be an intelligent, fiscally responsible, adult president that will make America strong again.

Long-term, for the country's sake, if JFK were to win by the EC and lose the popular vote it would be a better thing. Long term. We'd almost certainly see a bipartisan movement springing forth to eliminate this anachronism, and bring this nation closer to being the modern industrialized democracy it needs to be (instead of this patchwork of gussied-up agrarian-era 18th-century crap we're laboring under now.)

that a Kerry popular loss would play into the RW's hands and give them more ammunition to try to undermine his presidency (which they certainly WILL attempt to do anyway).
I would settle for only an electoral win if we absolutely needed to, but we really need a popular win as well to give JK the extra legitimacy.

If Kerry takes the EV and the chimp wins the popular vote( I don't think that is a possibility) the repubs will scream loud! Hypocrites that they are! Keep in mind that bush* had a plan in place in '00, that if he got the popular vote and Gore got the EV, that he would challenge it! Of course when the opposite occurred, bush* denied that claim! :eyes: Like I said, Hypocrites!

Divine King. He will be considerate in his appointments and throughout that his was not a popular mandate. Maybe not what you would want to hear, but fair and with integrity.

7. And I want John to pull a Bush |
|
Remember that Bush said after his appointment to his staff that he intended to govern as if he HAD a mandate..........well, I want JFK to take the oath of office and hang a hard LEFT just like Bush hung a hard RIGHT. I want him to in essence say "read my finger". Do not even attempt to play ball with these scum........fuck them.

16. McLaughlin Group, PBS Fridays. |
|
Best debate show on television. Good enough that the stars are memorialized in a Hirschfeild caricature; ya gotta be real good to get that.
Besides McLaughlin, they have:
Eleanor Clift, Newsweek Tony Blankley, Washington Times and celebrated Kool-Aid purveyor Pat Buchanan, who tones himself down considerable out of fear of losing his TV time Lawrence O'Donell, MSNBC and the smartest one of the bunch
Last night, Clift, O'Donnell, and McLaughlin called it for Kerry.
Slam dunk.

Haven't seen the crazy ol' perv in a long time, but I used to love watching his Group. They were pioneers in televised political food-fights. Back in the day, it was thrilling.
Now it's just SOP for the networks and, I guess, it's kinda gross to consider that we really do have McLaughlin to thank for creating the template.
