9. Um. Yes.
Just like during the first debate. Well, maybe not quite that much. After the first debate I called everyone I know to say how excited I was about Kerry's performance channel surfed to see the "analysis" on the cable channels and stumbled to bed: not my normal practice. The stress got to me.

I was sober on election night '00. I was so sure that Gore would win, I went to bed early. Got up and what a shock! This time, I can't say what I will do. I can say I won't be watching the MSM. I guess I will rely on the hearty souls at DU to tell what is happening. I am a coward and I admit it.

I am going to have to go out for replenishments after tonight - I don't want to get as drunk and depressed as I did way back in 72 (I was in high school) I am thinking that this time my tears could be of joy!

30. Way too descriptive!
My goal is to partake enough to enhance the experience of a glorious Kerry victory, but not enough mar it with any kind of physical pain. I want this to be an all out positive experience. Might take a little planning.

For Kerry, I'll stay sober so I can remember the moment always.

If it's Bush, I'm getting plastered until 2008 or we all die in a nukular explosion, whichever comes first.

34. We're having Frozen Peach Champagne Cocktails -- fabulous!
Frozen Peach Champagne Cocktails

By Food Network's Rachel Ray:

"This recipe is a Bellini-esque slush for grown ups. "

1/4 cup sugar, to rim glasses
1 pint peach sorbet
2 shots Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreau
Chilled champagne or sparkling wine, to fill blender, 1/3 bottle
Raspberries and 4 springs mint, optional garnish

Place a shallow bowl of water along side a shallow bowl with 1/4 cup sugar in it. Dip 4 cocktail glasses in water, then sugar to rim glass.
Place 4 scoops peach sorbet in blender. Add 2 shots orange liqueur. Fill blender with Champagne to maximum fill line or up to 1-inch from top of blending pitcher. Place cover on blender tightly. Blend until smooth and pour into cocktail glasses, keeping an eye out not to wreck the pretty sugar rims. Garnish with a few raspberries and a sprig of mint and serve.

47. I've already told my office I won't be in on the 3rd......
Was planning for either being hungover from celebrating, or too depressed to get out of bed. Of course if fraud or whatever throws this into extra innings, I don't know what the Hell I'll do. Really don't want to use up my holiday vacation time in early November.

Hopefully it will just be option #1 - getting shitfaced Tuesday night and recovering Wednesday :)

My choices are between 85, 88, or 93. I also have 89, 94, 95, and 96, but I think they'll be too tight and tannic. Have one bottle each of those years, so they are reserved for only truly momentous occasions. Seeing W* conceed the presidency on TV will be one of them (please God, make us drink Pétrus!).
