At SMU. WTF? Why is he at his "base" on the last day before the election? Anyone else gonna join me in "welcoming" him back home?

2. Supposedly he was going to watch the returns from the WH
But I read something that the last incumbent to do that was Gerald Ford. That must have spooked Rove.

3. Isn't that the wrong place for him to be on Monday?
Shouldn't he be campaigning in a battleground state the day before the election?

Who is your source?

6. Yeah?! Isn't that some sort of admission of defeat or something?
The guy's going home the day before the election?

Campaigning is hard work!

14. October surprise, a phony *cough* attempt to prune the shrub
But he dodges the bullet, he grabs the wannabe shooter, he wrestles him to the ground and pummels him until the Secret Service agents intervene, with bush still thrashing his tiny fists in the air, screaming that no one will attempt to influence this election, no one!

9. Doesn't make sense
but what else is new?

Let him relax in Texas as JK, JE, and the gang hit the battleground states one more time. I hope shrub'ya takes a nice long nap.

On the other hand, Rove is a master of misdirection. There could be last minute changes.

I'm sure Lockhart and his gang of merry men will be watching closely. I've heard rumors they might even have a mole but that couldn't be true could it?

Kerry on!

10. GAK!
Ick! No! He's about to get a one-way ticket back to the Crawford pig farm. Why can't that fool leave Texas in peace for these last 2 1/2 months? :puke:

Then again, a good protest might be just the ticket for relieving that final Monday night build-up of election anxiety....

16. "Mount Doom of the GOP"
Dead-on. I got pulled over last year for driving while poor. I was driving a scruffy (but totally legal and fully insured) little economy car with a "Dean for America" sticker on it. Bastards made me sit on the ground and started searching the car for no reason until I threw a fit and they had to stop. Their reason? "The car appeared to have an expired inspection sticker." (It didn't.) My blood still boils when I think about that. Haven't driven through there since.
