Teresa's Lawsuit Records Unsealed?!? |
|
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=696&e=1&u=/ap/20041030/ap_on_el_pr/heinz_estate_recordsHeinz Lawsuit Records Ordered Unsealed
4 minutes ago NORRISTOWN, Pa. - A judge on Friday ordered the unsealing of court records in a 1994 lawsuit by Teresa Heinz Kerry and her sons in the airplane crash that killed her first husband, U.S. Sen. H. John Heinz III.
The judge ruled that nearly all documents related to the case should be made public by Monday. Some records involving confidential materials, probably including details of the multimillionaire ketchup heir's holdings, would remain sealed.
Attorneys for the Heinz family and estate appealed, and the state Supreme Court granted Heinz Kerry's attorneys a stay that would keep the file closed until the court can review their appeal, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Philadelphia Newspapers Inc., publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Daily News, petitioned to have the records unsealed, arguing that Heinz Kerry could become first lady and the records might contain information in which the public might have an interest.

The judge ruled that reasons given by Heinz family lawyers — including the family's privacy, the family's reliance on the sealed record for the last eight years and the family's personal security — did not rise to that level.
These people are unbelievable.

5. I read about this some time ago. The plan is for this information |
|
to appear above the fold on Monday morning in the WSJ. It has to do with her deceased husband too in some way. They are a lovely bunch. We are just going to have to ride these storms out. They will try and drop pianos on Kerry from now until the end of the day Tuesday. I still think Bush is going to lose. I plan on doing constructive things like GOTV. F k em.

The last paragraph reads that there was no legitimate reason to keep the files sealed. on edit. So they attorneys have a stay that will hopefully hold until Wednesday. Good. By the way it is very condescending to write " read the article" so sorry that you are forced to deal with such inferior intellects.

4. Tell me one more time ... where on my ballot do I vote for First Lady? |
|
Cuz ... I've never seen it before. Is it something new this year?
And if it's not on the ballot, then WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT TERESA'S SETTLEMENT FOR? "Because she might be first lady" and "they may be of interest?"
WHAT? We heard nothing but, "We didn't elect Hillary! We didn't elect Hillary" for eight solid fegging years. Now all of a sudden we're electing a first lady, apparently.

Why would this have any effect on Kerry? They weren't married in 1994.

8. I'm an old FOIA attorney |

But this is repugnant and unnecessary.
How much more sensationalism and eating of the dead must we endure until the so-called "journalists" understand that trading in filth is NOT investigative journalism?
I cannot WAIT to see Teresa as First Lady. Can you imagine the elan and style she's going to bring to the White House, which has been culturally and socially moribund these past, sad years?

11. there is NO possible public interest since she is not elected, but in fact |
|
she may have constitutional and other legal protections; and, especially NOW -- since her PROSPECTIVE status as potential first lady is not determined. I would be shocked if the PA Supreme Court would even consider these matters before election day. Just more smear here to go with fear. I sure hope and pray that the great wheel of karma..........
who in the hell owns Philadelphia Newspapers Inc??? Is this Scaife??? boy howdy, but does that "shove it" great response come to anyone else's mind as a great answer to them now too??
