EXCELLENT Wes Clark Comments
Wes Clark on Bill Maher: 9/11 IS BUSH'S FAULT from AmericaBlog

If George Bush had done his job as Commander in Chief before 9/11 we would never have had the strikes of 9/11....

The guy that had the 9/10 mindset, that was George Bush. The guy who didn't want to listen to the threat of terrorism. The guy who never held a cabinet meeting. Why didn't he call his cabinet together and introduce the Attorney General to the Director of CIA and say gentlemen I'd like you to meet each other, and please I don't want any terrorist attacks?

But wait, there's more! On what it means to wear a military uniform:

But if he wants to wear the uniform, and take the glory of the men and women who are actually risking their lives in that flight suit, then he ought to understand what the command responsibility of being Commander in Chief is. When you wear that uniform, especially in the United States Navy, it's a one strike and you're out system. If you're the captain of the ship and it runs aground, they don't care whether you were on the bridge, eating lunch, asleep, chopping cedars in Texas, they don't care. You're out! They only ask one question, were you the captain on the day it ran aground? You're out.

1. General Clark Was Great Tonight
I'm not a Clarkie, but I am very impressed with how the General has conducted himself during this campaign and how clear and supportive he's been of both the Democratic Party and John Kerry. Not that I ever considered him less a Democrat since he was a "convert", but he's surely is one of us in every form and fashion, and demonstrated it eloquently tonight.

Here's hoping he's given a special role in a Kerry administration, this man is one class act.

2. Even PNAC chided Bush for having a pre-9/11 mindset in April of
2001. I think that's the right month. I did some looking there the other day b/c I wanted some talking points on what the objective of this admin is (U.S. world domination etc). I found, on that site, a lengthy article about how the Bush admin was ignoring the warnings. The article had a huge picture of OBL on the second page. So, of course, after 9/11, he fell right in to their plan.

4. OMG, that is one sensational speech! Thank You Wes Clark!
Here in DU, most of us worried that our side wasn't being "tough enough"...........Well, I think all that worrying was like shoveling smoke. Look at how many quality, experienced, and STRONG people have come out in recent weeks to TELL IT LIKE IT IS.

I am SOOOOOOOOOO Proud of our party and supporters thereof!

8. It was a great show!
Clark was fantastic, as usual. Belzer was amazing. Costner was on something :freak:

It would have been perfect w/out Ann "the vile bitch' Coulter.
