The Bushes will be finished in American politics. And Cheney and Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz and their ilk will be finito, over. Rove's "evil magic" will be gone. These people can't come back. The Watergate and Iran/Contra crowd will be defeated once and for all -- this gang won't be back.

Not to say that the Repukes won't be back with a new cast of characters, but think this gang has been predominantly responsible for poisoning the air, literally and figuratively.

1. We need to get the Iran-Contra - Iraq - PNAC - Bush stuff
into the history books. So more people know about it.

3. I don't think history will be kind to Bush and Reagan.
The Repukes like to chant that Reagan ended the Cold War. But, history will show that Reagan's reckless policies put the terrorists in business. We know what the two Georges have done. All our problems can be traced directly to Reagan and Bush I and II.

2. I certainly hope that "saner minds" will prevail again in the GOP

But I still wouldn't count the Bush Family Evil Empire out, unless they face a ton of criminal indictments on January 20. I think even just nailing Rove and Cheney would go a long way towards taking these bastards down. Or perhaps, if Florida ousts Jeb in 2006 and Poppy finally kicks the bucket, then their dark shadow of influence will be dispersed for good.

ON THE OTHER HAND, there is still Jeb's son, George P. Bush, whom future repugs will probably use to woo the Hispanic vote. But then again, he does bear the curse of his uncle's name.

4. I truly believe that after this fiasco, the Bushes are anathema.
They will have a legacy worse than Herbert Hoover. The Bush name will be the kiss of death in politics.
