pretty much the entire media completely ignored their 'evidence' (very pitiful. they were grasping at straws) that Kerry was an agent for Hanoi when he was head of VVAW

5. Here it is--prepare to counter it, fast.
http://www.conceptualguerilla.com/

Perhaps that explains the very first sentence in the "circular" -- the one that probably best sums up the experience of North Vietnamese efforts to influence the US anti-war movement. "The antiwar movements in the US are unpredictable." From this circular -- laying aside questions of it's accuracy -- we can draw a few conclusions, not at all consistent with the "conspiratorial" conclusions drawn by the Swift Boat Liars.

1. One antiwar group received "assistance and guidance" from the NV in Paris. That group was the PCPJ.

2. The PCPJ was not "closely associated" with the other principle anti-war group, the NPAC -- as evidenced by the failure of the two groups to cooperate on a number of points, including the failure of the PCPJ to convince the NPAC to adopt its slogans and tactics, and the conspicuous failure of the PCPJ to gain cooperation from the NPAC in demonstrations to be held in May 71. .

3. Many of the slogans and tactics of the PCPJ -- those presumably advanced by the NV in Paris -- were "not successful."

4. John Kerry, in July, 1971, adopted the position of the NPAC for a “timeline” for US withdrawal, which was at odds with that advanced by the PCPJ -- suggesting that John Kerry's positions with the VVAW were also at odds with the "assistance and guidance" furnished by the NV in Paris. In other words, Kerry SPECIFICALLY DID NOT FOLLOW that "guidance" -- assuming that he ever heard it.

5. To the extent that Kerry's actions coincide with the desires of the North Vietnamese delegation in Paris, it is not because that delegation was directing Kerry, it is because that delegation was "learning lessons" from the failures of its own operatives -- those in the PCPJ – who had unsuccessfully urged “immediate withdrawal” as the anti-war position.

6. John Kerry was part of the "unpredictability" of the anti-war movement -- a movement, which the "circular" correctly describes as "spontaneous."

7. The North Vietnamese clearly wanted to influence the American anti-war movement, but they were largely unsuccessful. The anti-war movement was an American movement, made up of American citizens concerned about the actions of our government in what many regarded -- and still regard -- as a misguided foreign military adventure. They were not "communists" or 'revolutionaries' -- as evidenced by the refusal of most to adopt the "communist" or "revolutionary" slogans suggested by the North Vietnamese. In fact, it appears that the North Vietnamese made the same mistake our own flying monkeys have made. They equated dissent on the wisdom of American involvement in Vietnam with sympathy for the communists in Vietnam. It wasn't that Americans opponents of the war in Vietnam were "communists" who "supported" the North Vietnamese. It was rather a fundamental question about the wisdom of sacrificing 58,000 American soldiers to fight communists in a jungle on the other side of the world. The flying monkeys will, without hesitation, send your son to die fighting communists on the other side of the world -- no matter how dictatorial or corrupt the regime is on "our" side. Most Americans stand with the majority position of the anti-war movement. We believe in exercising a little discretion before we send our sons to die overseas. John Kerry clearly held that sensible majority position.

That brings us around to the "talking points."

This story will "hit" the media -- and will be circulated "under the radar" in private emails, etc. -- by Sunday or so. You need to be ready.

Here is your one paragraph response.

The captured documents do not show that the American anti-war movement was influenced or "guided" by the North Vietnamese. They show the opposite. The documents themselves describe the anti-war movement as "spontaneous" and "unpredictable." They show that the one organization in contact with the North Vietnamese -- the PCPJ -- failed to gain the cooperation of other anti-war groups. They show that the "slogans" and "tactics" suggested by the North Vietnamese were "not successful" -- in the words of the circular. Oh, and the documents don't mention Vietnam Veterans Against the War -- or John Kerry in particular -- AT ALL.

If you see this story in your newspaper, see it on TV, hear it on the radio, or see in your email, RESPOND TO IT IMMEDIATELY -- using the facts I have just laid out. If you can't remember the further details, just send along a link to this page. Remember, this kind of "late hit" from the flying monkeys is designed to level a charge, and not give us time to refute it -- something we can absolutely do, using their own source material. Those captured documents don't show what they claim, and you must make sure as many people know it, as soon as this story rears it's head, as you can.

9. Swift Boat Liars have become unimportant at this point in the campaign
They reached every voter they are going to reach at this point.

They hit Kerry hard early and he wasn't ready with a response. After that, though, they quickly became repetetive and it's probably been many weeks since they turned a single voter against Kerry.

no, wait -- they're protesting someone who ISN'T president?

FUCK THOSE FUCKING ASSHOLES. They have all three branches of government, and they have to fucking flock to Washington to fucking protest a candidate that isn't even president, yet?

What a bunch of assmunches. I'm the victimized group and I get to protest, you whiny motherfuckers!

This is like when Rush Limbaugh calls feminist "Feminazis," -- it just doesn't work, because you can't compare a victimized group to the Nazis. When we're all using unisex bathrooms and wearing short hair ;) -- THEN they can call them Feminazis -- BUT NOT ONE MINUTE BEFORE!!!

15. Heh
Even some of them know it's too late for this crap and the smearies' time has come and gone.

One thing I know for sure, I will never forget or forgive John O'Neill or his band of Smearers for trying to tear down a US veteran for political purposes.

My grandfather, now deceased, who flew B-24 bombers in WWII over North Africa, said there is a special place in hell for veterans who denigrate other veterans.

And I'm a bit thankful the smearies acted as horribly as they did: it was the final straw for my father in law, a Vietnam vet who has never voted Dem before this year, but proudly cast his vote for Kerry! (He saw the purple heart bandaids at the RNC and that was the final item that sent him over the edge--he has three Purple Hearts just like Kerry, only he was Army. They made a BIG mistake in denigrating the Purple Heart like that.)

The smearies and all who support him are disgusting. They've been exposed as total liars and these freepers are fucking desperate. Can you smell it?

On the other hand, since they're liars posing as war heroes trying to tar a real war hero, Hallowe'en is probably the best day for their rally!:)

36. Important info to know from media matters
http://mediamatters.org/items/200408060010/

In this series of articles, Corsi has accused Kerry of "violating the legal provision against negotiating with foreign powers (18 U.S.C. 953) and the constitutional prohibition against giving support to our nation's enemies during wartime (Article III, Section 3)"; asserted that Kerry's actions as an anti-war activist amounted to treason; and claimed that "Kerry and the VVAW consistently coordinated their efforts with Communists." Corsi asserted that, in 1971, Kerry's anti-war activism amounted to a proclamation by him that "Communists were right in maintaining that American values were corrupt and that the only solution was for America to capitulate so Communism could continue to spread." As Media Matters for America has noted, Kerry was quoted expressing exactly the opposite sentiment in a December 12, 1971, Boston Globe article: "I don't like Communists," Kerry said. "In fact, I hate them. I hate all totalitarians. I'm totally dedicated to representative, pluralistic, free democracy."

On August 6, Salon.com's Joe Conason documented links between Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the conservative online forum www.FreeRepublic.com. Conason noted that the designer of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website is Robert A. Hahn, a director of the Free Republic Network, a conservative activist organization affiliated with FreeRepublic.com. Scott Swett, who is listed as the webmaster of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website, swiftvets.com, also appeared on FOX News Channel host Sean Hannity's August 5 radio show to discuss the group. Swett posts frequently to FreeRepublic.com, using the pseudonym "Interesting Times," and is also a director of the Free Republic Network. The wintersoldier.com website to which Swett has contributed articles is a project of the Free Republic Network.

Corsi is also a frequent participant in FreeRepublic.com's online forums, posting under the pseudonym "jrlc" since 2001. (Click here to read a full set of Corsi's posts; click here to read the post in which "jrlc" admits to being Jerome Corsi.)

On FreeRepublic.com, Corsi has, among other things, said that "ragheads" are "boy buggers"; referred to "John F*ing Kerry"; called Senator Hillary Clinton a "Fat Hog"; referred to her daughter as "Chubby Chelsie" Clinton; referred to Janet Reno as "Janet Rhino"; called Katie Couric "Little Katie Communist"; suggested Kerry was "practicing Judaism"; and expressed the wish that a small plane that had crashed into a building in Los Angeles had instead crashed into the set of NBC'S The West Wing, thereby killing actor Martin Sheen.
