How will the talk shows(Sunday) spin this?

I think that will determine how the US views this tape. If the Sunday shows spin it toward Bush's favor then the election will go to him BUT if they actually do a job of discussing the tape I think Kerry has an honest chance of winning BIG TIME.

1. I personally think the Sunday shows are a bit overrated

People at church, out to breakfast or brunch, golf, visiting relatives, doing yardwork, getting ready for NFL - how many are actually watching?

Remember, at this late stage, very very few people whose minds are made up are going to change them. There's just a few undecideds left to sway, and I think that will be done more by actually considering what the candidates have been saying (seen on regular news broadcasts, ads, CSPAN, etc.)

I'm not saying Sunday morning shows won't have some influence, but I have a feeling it's mostly politics junkies who watch them. I could be wrong, of course, and probably am.

I think they will spin this every which way tomorrow. I don't see how they can say it really helps Bush a lot, because obviously if Bush had caught OBL he would not able to keep taunting and threatening us. How is his continued survival any possible demonstration of Bush keeping us safe?

I also think the explosives story is not just going to fade away completely.

So I think tomorrow will be a wash. But, again, I could be wrong, and probably am.

2. They will spin it desperately for Bunnypants

but it's too late. Lots of people have already voted early and their spin will only make Dems more motivated to GOTV.

It isn't going to swing many if any people to Bush. It will not secure the election for Bush by a long shot.

6. I doubt it. I really know very few people who watch

the talking heads. They will make no difference. Besides, I don't believe for a minute that there is a significant number of undecideds left.

7. The talk shows are on to early here in Central Minnesota

Anyone who goes to 8:30 or 9:00 church services doesn't see any of them, and I doubt that many other folks are motivated enough to get up to watch them at 9.
