Nuts. Rain likely in PA & NJ on Tuesday
Will hold down turnout at least a little. Esp. for people who have not voted before. Damn. We really have to work to excite our voters, motivate them to come out no matter what.

3. Here in ultra-conservative Lancaster County, PA, we'll call every Dem.
Pollwatchers will try to call every Democratic voter in their precincts before Tuesday; then, whoever hasn't voted by 3 p.m. will be called on Tuesday and reminded that it is VITAL that they get to the polls. (the pollwatcher going off duty from the day shift will make those calls with the help of phone-bankers across the county). And we have lots of people to provide transportation.

So, if there's lower turnout in Lancaster County, PA, it won't be because we didn't do everything we could to get people to the polls.

7. I hope someone coordinates with MoveOn to get those in need of
transportation to the polls.

They've done it here in my district.

4. Let them see the "MOSH" video from Eminem
Excerpts from Eminem's "MOSH" song:

To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together

To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push up, mush, fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just . . .

Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we're responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered

This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Teen million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero

Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight

5. MOveOn is organizing the transport to the polls this time.
Make sure every voter there knows they can call a MoveOn volunteer to get transportation to the polls.

They can call local Democratic HQ to get the local numbers.

I used to drive people to the polls and I met some wonderful, savvy older folks who were bursting with pride at voting! If you can help out in this regard, I bet you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

8. This is very anecdotal, but my late father, who was a
Democratic precinct captain in Chicago in the 1960's, 1970's and early 1980's always wanted it to rain on Election Day. He always claimed the Republicans wouldn't come out to vote if it rained.

Bottom line everyone, it doesn't matter about the weather on Tuesday. We all have to make sure to get the voters to polls. I'm convinced the bigger the turnout nationally, the bigger the margin for Kerry/Edwards.

10. I don't think the old weather-turnout models will hold true this time.
Recall recent indictors that suggest our side is hard-core energized to get out and vote for regime change. The flunkies for the same old lame status quo are the ones who will not wait bother with the lines.
