Explaining whether or not the OBL tape will affect your vote. They specifically asked for emails about this issue. No link couldn't find anything on CNN website.

"The OBL tape does not affect my vote, but it certainly affirms my vote.
How has it happened that America has given Osama bin Laden so much power that, days before a critical presidential election, his tape has all but overrun stories of missing explosives, the Halliburton investigation, the Iraq debacle, and especially George W. Bush's falling poll numbers?
We could have brought the same military power to bear upon the capture of Osama as we did the capture of Saddam, but George W. Bush failed in that task. The mere fact that we are even questioning the motives of why Osama released the tape is evidence that America cannot trust George W. Bush in matters of terrorism."

Will be interesting to see the responses to this. Is it a yes-no thing? Because those never really tell you much. As in--no, it didn't change my vote because there's no way on God's green earth I'd ever vote for Bush no matter what! Like I said--'twill be interesting to see the results, if CNN tells us, and what "spin" they put on it.
DEFEAT BUSH!!

Will not affect my vote, just reinforces my opinion that Bush failed to keep America safe. He went after the wrong target, didn't he? OBL looks none the worse for wear and America is now/still in a helluva mess. I think he(Bush) needs to explain this to all the families of loved ones who have died because of Bush's mistake.

(e-mail text:)
If Osama bin Laden is still at large, does a Bush vote guarantee 4 more years of him at large? Why would I vote for a man who could not round up the usual suspects? Besides that, isn't this what Osama was doing in the months that led up to September 11th?
(end text)
If our old pal is still on the loose and has moved back to making movies, how much longer before a major attack. I sincerely hope this e-mail of mine gets broadcast the world over.

I am only more convinced that we made a mistake going into Iraq. Osama invading our living room dressed in a Goldie-locks outfit taunting us all? I was traumatized in 2001, and today I am angry that the President did not keep his promise to get him Dead or Alive/smoke him out. We have that guy from the spider hole in Iraq though don’t we? This was the final nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned. The Bush bravado falls on deaf ears!

edited to add text of email I sent:
Will the tape influence my vote?
President Bush said he wanted Osama Bin Laden "dead or alive." Then he said he "didn't think about him very much, he was of no consequence." Then President Bush said Saddam Hussein was responsible for the attacks on 9/11/01 as justification for invading a sovereign nation.
Now Osama Bin Laden admits on the tape to having been the one who organized the 9/11 attacks. And this administration has yet to capture Osama Bin Laden. And we're at war with a country who had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks.
Will the tape influence my vote? Oh, yeah, President Bush has to go. It's time we put someone in the White House who knows who the enemy is and will insure that the next tape we see of Osama Bin Laden shows him being neutralized by U.S. troops.
On edit: I wouldn't vote for * on pain of death...but they don't know that; unless they read this board.

The tape of OBL, personifying 2 of Bush's greatest failures (9/11 and our not capturing OBL...), taunting Bush and the USA is absolutely humiliating. Perhaps if the binLadens weren't family friends of the Bush's, GW would have tried to capture him.

To: wam@cnn.com Subject: OBL tape affect my vote?
I already voted before the appearance of the Osama bin Laden videotape. This tape just reinforces my feeling that I voted for a sincere and intelligent LEADER, John Kerry, instead of the disaster, phony, and COWARD George W. Bush. I am confident that not only will John Kerry spearhead an appropriate and efficacious "war on terror," but he will also implement a solution to the understandable concerns expressed by bin Laden: a sane, sensible, and humanitarian foreign policy that incorporates the needs and visions of our world allies, does not perpetuate the stupidity of forcing our form of government at the point of a gun, and does not include invading and occupying a foreign country in order to capture its resources and fatten the wallets of corporate sponsors. Just the fact that OBL is alive and making this tape, looking well fed, relaxed, clean and in good health, is solid evidence that Bush and his unqualified cabal have seriously dropped the ball and made our lives intensely more dangerous as a result of their greedy, short-sighted and incredibly stupid policies and actions.
I don't have cable--tell me if they quote any of this, from Gainesville, FL, okay? :)

The "new" OBL tape only re-affirmed my intention to vote for John Kerry. The fact that the man responsible for the deaths of over 3000 of our fellow citizens is still at large and able to make a tape in which he looks healthy and ready to call out our country, should outrage every American. George W. Bush stood on the still smoldering rubble of the World Trade Center and swore to find the people responsible. He failed to keep that promise. Instead, we invaded Iraq based on nothing more than a family grudge. And our soldiers continue to pay the price. Of course, OBL wants Bush to be re-elected. Bush is his best recruiting tool and he knows that he will be allowed to roam free, taunting us with his threats. When John Kerry is President the phrase that OBL can run, but he can't hide, will finally mean something.

I look at the tape of healthy, well-fed, BinLaden and it makes my blood boil. How could it be this many years since 9/11 and this guy is still free, alive, and evidently in control of a support group that allows him to deliver these tapes without being traced.
I don't think that the BinLaden family has been put under nearly enough scrutiny. I think the reason for that is their close ties with the Saudi and Bush families. I am determined to see John Kerry take the controls of this country so that we can get some truthful governance at long last.

In a sense no and in a sense yes...
No becuase i was already going to vote for a fresh start for this country in John Kerry...yes becuase seeing that mass murderer mocking this country on TV only makes my resolve firmer that we need new leadership, Bush has failed to catch Bin Laden or destroy his group and now we find ourselves in an absolute mess in Iraq while Bin Laden is free to plot his next attack on this country.
I was reminded of the time when Bush said that he didn't know where Bin Laden was nor did he worry about it and it made me very angry...i'm going to vote for leadership that will protect this country more than just shallow campaign slogans.
