Nobody's saying s/he isn't voting K-E because they outed Mary Cheney now. |

That one seems not to have stuck at all. I haven't heard anyone mention that since RW radio stoked the embers right after the debate. But they obviously couldn't keep the fire burning for more than 18 hours.
It seems so stupid in retrospect.
Everyone is talking about things that matter rather than something that was a lie (MC had already outed hersefl years earlier).

3. She outed herself a long time ago. I know. Media said otherwise. |

7. That's not what I said. The day the RW press was all over this I heard 3 |
|
people say they weren't voting for K-E because they outed Cheney. I told them that day that she was already out -- that she outed herself -- but they didn't care about facts.
I'm not saying that it was true. I'm asking, "Have you heard anyone say s/he isn't voting K-E because they outed Mary Cheney?"
That's all I'm asking.
Reading is fundamental.

5. She's the gay and lesbian liason for Coors for Christ sake! She outted |
|
herself YEARS ago. I also seem to remember some vague recollection of Cheney himself addressing the issue of his lesbian daughter in 2000.

Gimme a break. Why would anyone even care? The only people who were outraged by that were never going to vote for Kerry anyway.

...information which was hurting them among the Christians they were trying to get out to the polls. The fact of MC's sexualit made the fundamentalists less enthusiastic.
Incidentally, reading Skinner's conference call post, it's clear that Bush did this because it polarized the electorate. He was just giving his definite voters another reason to get angry.
That's what Bush wants. He wants people to be angry and polarized.
How can you be angry at a guy who tours with The Boss, and a VP who has a son as cute as Jack Edwards is?

because it never was about outing Mary Cheney, it was about grabbing the spin from the third debate. Kerry kicked Bush's ass in the last debate, but rather than talk about that, we talked about Lynne Cheney's outrage that Kerry called her daughter a lesbian.
That was too bad, because we should have been talking clean sweep, 3 for 3, and all that.

10. But people today perceive Kerry as clear winner of all debates and I have |

not heard a single person mention Mary Cheney until I just did now.
