Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 11:08 AM by slavkomae
Showing Bush at 47.9 to Kerry's 47.1 percent.

Bush JA at 50.4.

"Today is the first time since the Republican National Convention that the President's Job Approval has dipped below 51%. For most of the past two months, it has been at 52% or 53%."

4. Kerry ahead in battlegrounds and among independents
according to info in the premium section:

- Kerry leads in battleground states 50-47
- Kerry leads among independents 50-38
- Independents: right track 33, wrong track 63.

(All of these numbers improved since yesterday)

Rasmussen had just noted Friday morning that the trends favored Bush. So, it is quite possible that Kerry did well in Friday night polling.

6. Improvements since yesterday
Battlegrounds: Kerry +2, Bush -1.
Independents: Kerry +4, Bush -4
Independents: wrong track +5, right track -4

The only caveat is that Rasmussen's numbers for Independents tend to fluctuate somewhat from day to day. But the battleground numbers have been more stable.
