Chimp Helps Bin Laden; Bin Laden Helps Chimp. Time for it to STOP.
1. Chimp ignores counter-terrorism intel, advice, memos, reports, and strategic plans; Bin Laden gets his greatest opportunity for attack. Chimp helps Bin Laden.

2. Attacks of 9/11 send Chimp's abysmal approval ratings soaring. The world is at his side, the country is united behind him, all he has to do is yell through a megaphone and people swoon over his great epiphany. His presidency is completely transformed. Bin Laden helps Chimp.

3. Chimp relies on Afghan rebels to get Bin Laden in Tora Bora mountains, rather than using full US military might to secure a 10-sq-mile radius. Bin Laden escapes. Chimp helps Bin Laden.

4. The mere mention of "terrorism" and "9/11" gives Chimp's approval ratings a boost whenever necessary. Raising terror "color alert" is also effective, and all it takes is "chatter." For Chimp, 9/11 is the gift that keeps on giving! Bin Laden helps Chimp.

5. Chimp diverts resources and personnel away from Afghanistan to invade Iraq. Bin Laden regroups in western Pakistan, with operatives skirting back and forth across the border with Afghanistan. Attacks are successfully carried out around the world. Chimp's botched war in Iraq creates new opportunities in the chaos of the destabilized country, inflamed hatred of the US, great rationale for recruitment, availability of weapons, and a haven for new organization. Chimp helps Bin Laden.

6. Bin Laden creates the ultimate "boo" -- a videotape designed to bring Americans to Chimp's side, according to Richard Clarke. Since Chimp leads Kerry on the issue of terrorism and security, the mere mention of Bin Laden is a boost for the RNC, whose entire campaign has centered on 9/11, fear, danger, war, terror, wolves, etc. Plus, Chimp criticizes Kerry for even discussing it and RNC calls for a moratorium on criticizing Chimp. Bin Laden helps Chimp.

It is LONG past time to end this cycle.

1. OBL is the best tool GWB has ever had...

...he does NOT WANT HIM DEAD! He's too useful. Also keep in mind that the binLadens and Bushs are old family friends from way back. It is not wholly unlikely that the Bush family made a few phone calls to the binLadens asking them to contact OBL to make a video at this time to help GWB out...

They're both (all) too useful to each other. OBL is a wonderful TOOL for GWB and vice-versa....

I agree it's time to end this mutual back-scratching. We can start by GETTING OUT THE VOTE and replacing bu$h.

THEN we can investigate just exactly what is going on here...and there IS very distinct pattern of quid-pro-quo. Maybe something, maybe nothing, but needs to be looked at.

edit: corrected spelling and added sentence.
