Poll question: 2004 Presidential election, we will know the decision when?
When do you feel we will know the official winner of the upcoming presidential election?

2. The Repukes won't be able to steal it in one night
I say a month because of their law suits, but they will lose in the end.

3. I'm not one to make bold predictions.
But I think that we'll know by the night of November 2nd. Turnout will be the big key.. if it's as high as we think it'll be, there'll be no question as to who wins this one..

4. Kerry will be declared winner before midnight eastern time
The newly registered voters, the youth vote and the repugs who can't bring themselves to vote for * will give Kerry enough of a margin in enough states that legal challenges won't matter...

GOTV=Kerry Landslide!

6. Walter Cronkite, on Larry King last night, said
it will be early spring before we have the results.

He talked about all the legal challenges that have already been filed.

8. yea, I watched that
but I tend to think we will know by Nov. 3. If it does happen to go beyond Nov. 3 I think this will carry on a very long time ( 2000 results on steroids.... Supreme Court, protests, etc. ).

7. Tuesday by 11pm, networks will start calling it for Kerry.
They'll want to call it an hour or two earlier, but after 2000 they have to make it look like they really pondered it.

That's how strong Kerry is.

10. There are going to be recounts in states with very close results
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 12:42 PM by IndianaGreen
and there will be legal challenges from both sides.

We won't know for weeks who the winner is!

On edit:

We must remain resolute during the post-election period as the recounts and legal challenges go on, and we must never allow anyone to stop the vote count!

13. if it does go that far
rest assured Kerry and his people are going to fight this one to the very end, unlike Gore and team back in 2000. I remember it clearly the talk was 'it's only 4 years, how much damage can Bush do in 4 years", well now we know.

12. Nothing wrong with wishes. ^_^ I appreciate, though, you labeling
it as such.

For those of us who see the other possibility as being a *strong* possibility, we'd like to see each as worthy of respect.

14. I really don't know.
But having said that, I vote for an early result based on a KERRY LANDSLIDE, due to an unprecedented number of newly registered voters!

15. I think we'll know before the polls close in Oregon.

I think we'll know by the time they count Minnesota,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Arkansas, Missouri,
and Kansas.

Yeah, I think some states they think are going red are
really going blue.

I really really do.
