Winning the mind game
With all the doom and gloom being posted here this morning, thought I would just give everyone a good :kick: in the ass. My bet is most of the doomsayers here are trolls people. Stay focused, chill, and get out and do some good today. Call some undecided friends, go volunteer today at local Dem events. Hell, go shopping wearing your Kerry Edwards gear. Ignore the negative posts. They don't do us any good no matter who posts them. We have 3 more days. That's it. I'm putting on my Kerry shirt and headed to the grocery store. I am then going to make some calls to newly registered voters reminding them to vote on tuesday. After that, I'm going to watch my daughter dance in Carmina Burana.

Just chill people. If nothing else go find a quiet spot somewhere and lay on the ground and just reconnect to the earth.

1. Oh another idea
It's the 30th, which means it's the day bill collectors start hounding me (I get paid once a month). So, as I have spoken to each and paid my bills by phone, I have polled them on the presidential election and reminded them to Get Out and Vote. Interesting Kerry is doing well in my unofficial bill collector's poll.

3. Osama's playing mind games too, you see
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 11:35 AM by rocknation
We're supposed to consider him a depraved madman and to take stock only in his threats. If we've gotten a correct translation of the tape, and if the speaker really is bin Laden, he's implying that it would be in America's best interests to vote for Kerry. But he's trying to set us up just as much as Rove is.

Osama--and Rove--are hoping that we'll resent Osama for trying to influence the election and vote for Bush in retaliation. Make no mistake about it--Osama wants Bush to remain in office. And why WOULDN'T he? Bush is an Al-Qaeda recruitment poster boy, unable to justice ahead of greed, and most important, hasn't been able to catch him! Why in the world would he trade all that in for the intangibles that Kerry would bring to the table?

4. Hey, I put in my time helping turn out the early vote.
My wife will be helping at the polls on Tuesday.

No doom and gloom -- just wait and see. And most of what I have seen here looks good: the right trajectory for Kerry, only bad news for Dubya.
