I Am About To Begin Calling My First FLORIDA Voters

I have signed up with votercall.org, and they have given me a list of newly-registered Florida voters to call. And a script. It's all over the net.

I'll be sitting here, at home, in my nightie, calling Florida voters this morning, from my cell phone, taking advantage of my unlimited nights & weekends, and unlimited nationwide long distance, to get out voters in Florida, all from the comfort of my own living room in Texas.

THAT is how determined I am to get this Son Of A Bush out of the White House! My own state is a waste of time, so I will concentrate my efforts now where they will matter most.

I'm asking all of you to do the same, if you can. We HAVE to get Bush out!! NOW!! If we don't, we lose our democracy forever...because it will not survive another four years of Bush & Co.

after you hang up, you never have to talk to these people again. just smile and slog through it, afterwards you'll be happy you did!!

8. OK, The Advice Is What You'd Get From Nike...JUST DO IT!!

They give you a script to follow...they give you the numbers. All you gotta do is smile and dial.
Not much to it...you'll never see any of the people you are calling, anyway. most have been nice, and supportive...One stated he couldn't wait to vote so he could "kick that son of a Bush all the way back to Texas!"
At that point I couldn't help myself...I giggled, and then told him I was calling from Texas, and...much as we didn't really want him here in Texas, either...that we were willing to make the supreme sacrfice of taking him back, if it meant getting him out of the White House.
This guy could not believe that there were Texans who couldn't freaking STAND Gee Duhhhh-bya!
I told him that we, in fact, do exist, and not all Texans are for Gee-Duhhhbya!
It was a really cool call.

So far today I have made calls now in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. Kerry/Edwards also has a phone list you can call, all friendly people who have expressed desire to volunteer. On that list, you are calling KNOWN Kerry supporters, and asking them to volunteer at upcoming local events. They give you a script as well.

And you know you will get nothing but supportive people from that list. Most from the VoterCall list have been, too.

My advice?

JUST DO IT!!

LET'S KICK THE ROTTEN SON OF A BUSH ALL THE WAY BACK TO TEXAS!!

I love talking to people who are open minded...or even civil, but have you encountered hostile people? What do you do?
