Check it out - Freeper 'NavyChief', is backing down on his 'threat'!!

I knew this was bullshit when I read about it here on DU and so this isn't much of a surprise:

STAND DOWN FROM DC RALLY (Kerry "less than honorable discharge" fallout)
Swift Vets and POWs for Truth ^ | 10/30/2004 | NavyChief

Posted on 10/30/2004 9:51:46 AM PDT by Fatalis

I have been asked by the highest authorities (No -- I will not expound) to not hold this Rally.

Although our actions and intent has been nothing but honorable, this effort will not serve our purposes.

My sincerest apologies for this but I must ask that we stand down...

I certainly hope the "highest authorities" know what they are doing and I don't like this anymore than anyone else but I must ask you to stand down.

We can however, return to our previous effort in getting the truth to media outlets, Congress, and other influencial organizations.

This was a great idea and I'm very disappointed -- I hope you will forgive me for this. I'm assured that all will be clear in time (yeah right).

- Troy Jenkins (aka "Navy Chief")

You couldn't believe the powerplay behind the scenes at this moment regarding this story.

You can call me many things (and probably will) -- I don't care.

This isn't my call anymore on how/where/when/why this story will come out.

I've been told/asked/cajoled whatever you wish to call it -- to stand down.

So, this Chief will STAND DOWN (for now).

That's all I have to say on the matter. If you want me to personally apologize to everyone -- so be it.

- Troy Jenkins (aka "NavyChief")

This dumbfuck finally got some sense - although gotta love his conspiratorial excuse!

On edit - Need to clarify this a bit more

The thread actually posted by 'NavyChief' got pulled as a "duplicate" and a link to a previous thread is now posted there:

This thread has been pulled.
Pulled on 10/30/2004 9:57:20 AM PDT by Admin Moderator, reason:

Duplicate: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1262737/posts

Funny thing is, they pulled the thread from the actual person involved, in favour of a thread from a third paryt reposting something from another board! Even the Freeper admins are dumbfucks :-)

Which one of these fine bits of portraiture will grace the WH halls or the museums? There has truly never been another more inept, small minded, ineloquent, banal scrap of tissue to represent our nation in it's collective history. Doesn't it just make your skin crawl?

16. I can just picture the flags flying ...
... and The Battle Hymn of the Republic playing.

Such an honorable man, putting duty first, military to the bone, who will "stand down" on orders from the "highest authorities" that he (conveniently) is not at liberty to divulge.

I suppose NavyChief was also a member of the top-secret Seal Team Omega, and all evidence that he was involved was purged and destroyed. So, too, were the records of him infiltrating the old USSR and bringing it down with nothing more than a Smith and Wesson, Ruggeed Individualism, and a Bible.

Ah, but his day will come, the day when the Secret Patriots make a stand and seize our Republic back from the liberal scum who have thrown God out of the classroom and replaced Him with Raw Sex, Evolution, and D.C. Comics.

In other words, just your average F.R. putschist.

"I have been asked by the highest authorities (No -- I will not expound) to not hold this Rally."

Translation:

My mom says that I have to clean the dog run and the rain gutters, otherwise she is taking away my computer!

"You couldn't believe the powerplay behind the scenes at this moment regarding this story."

Translation:

My dad says, since it's the weekend, mom should leave me alone. She convinced him that I need to show some effort around the house, otherwise I have to get a job and move out! She says a 32 year old man should be able to support himself and not have to live in his parent's basement and play on the computer all day!

Apparently she wins this one. Thanks mom, for letting the terrorists and traitors win.

23. Yeah, either that or
he got called in to work the cheerleader's shift at White Castle because she's giving the manager hummers and gets whatever days off she wants. Dammit. If he doesn't go in and work her shift, he won't be able to keep his ISP bill paid, and Dad's starting to really hit him up hard for rent on his little 'bunker' in the basement. Mom was pretty pissed when she saw that Playboy centerfold he'd tacked up on the wall over the computer with AnnThrax Coulter's face pasted on from the neck up, too, and they both have given him an ultimatum that if he doesn't start going to church again, he's going to either be kicked out of the basement or they're going to take the computer back upstairs.

Something like that, uhhuh.

there's nothing to the "threat" that's why. Nothing. His DD214 is posted on his website for ALL to see, that is the Holy Grail of your military record and it says, plain as day, Honorably Discharged.

These guys are desperate, reeking of flop sweat, and grasping at straws.

Again, I have to say, there are few things worse than veterans tearing down other veterans. However, I have the sneaking suspicion a lot of those freeptards aren't veterans at all, but just get off on pretending to be.

There is probably no more imporant document for a servicemember than his or her DD-214. Its one of few controlled documents. My originals are locked up at the bank and I have several certified copies for my use.

I wonder who was giving marching orders to the Chief? I'd stand proudly with President Kerry anyday. And I am proud to call him SHIPMATE!

32. My husband is an Army veteran
of 12 years. He was in the first Gulf War, was awarded two Purple Hearts. Highly decorated. I am very proud of him and HE is very devoted to Senator Kerry. My husband is a wonderful judge of character and he took one look at bush back when he became TX gov and said "total lying asshole" and when we were first learning about Kerry, he said he knew this was a good, honorable man.

My father in law served three tours of duty in Vietnam and my grandfather flew B-24 bombers over North Africa in WWII. We are a proud veteran family and we are smart enough to know what time it is.

33. I've acquired the White House transcripts of the decision to cancel.
Through my unimpeachable sources, I've managed to get a transcript of the Oval office conversation which resulted in the decision to have the Free Republic call off the demonstration:

Official White House transcript, 0832 Saturday, October 30, 2004.

KARL ROVE: Good Morning, Mr. President.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Hi Karl. Isn't it a little early for TV dinners?

ROVE: This is not a TV dinner, Mr. President. It is a laptop computer.

PRESIDENT BUSH: I had a computer in college. This little five-two accounting major. He did all my math for me at test time. Guy wanted to rat me out a couple of years back, so we gave him a job at OMB, remember? Wonder how he's doing over there now?

ROVE: He slipped in the shower, Mr. President. Now please, try to follow along... we don't have much time. There is a website called the Free Republic on the Internet....

PRESIDENT BUSH: Which one?

ROVE: Which one what?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Which Internet?

(Pause)

ROVE: Um, the one that Jesus reads, Mr. President.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Oh, that's good!

ROVE: I thought you'd like that. Now, the Free Republic is a website that attracts some of your most ardent supporters. They call themselves "Freepers...."

PRESIDENT BUSH: Rich people?

ROVE: No.... Not usually.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Smart people?

ROVE: No, Mr. President. I've told you, smart people are not on your side.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Well, what good are they then if they ain't rich or smart?

ROVE: Mr. President, they are mostly high-school educated angry white male Protestant latent homosexuals aged 25-55.

PRESIDENT BUSH: They're gay?

ROVE: Yes, but they don't know it yet. And anyway, what's this big thing you have with gay people, Mr. President?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Gay people are illegal according to the Bible.

ROVE: Eating shellfish is prohibited in the Bible, too. Haven't you wondered why I'm 54 years old and single?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Mmmm. Shrimp. (presses intercom) Shirley, send Karl and I two shrimp coctails and one of those bibs with the lobster on it for me. (to ROVE) What were we talking about?

ROVE: This is the Free Republic website. These so-called "Freepers," they want to march on the Capitol Building today to protest Senator Kerry's war record.

PRESIDENT BUSH: That's great!

ROVE: No, that's bad, Mr. President. These people aren't very bright, they're hateful, and they constantly threaten violence. They have their proper uses, but those uses come if you lose the election and we need "on the ground" support for you to stay in office....

PRESIDENT BUSH: You make 'em sound like those guys... the German fellers who dressed really well.

ROVE: Yeah, well, if someone happens to burn down the Capitol I suppose--

(crosstalk)

PRESIDENT BUSH: --burn down the Capitol? Where will I be sworn in in January?

ROVE: No, George. They're not going to burn down the Capitol. At least, not today. Not if you do something about it. You need to send an e-mail to this fellow here....

PRESIDENT BUSH: I can send mail through this thing? What do I do, slide it in this little mail-slot here?

ROVE: Mr. President, why don't you... (presses intercom) Shirley, would you send in Barney, please?

(sound of door opening, scampering)

PRESIDENT BUSH: Barney! Who's Barney's President, huh, boy? Woohoo! Look! Barney can fly! Ugh. Barney can FLY! Ugh. Barney can FLY! Ugh--oops! Heheh. Sorry, Barney. Come here, boy. Oh, looks like I broke your cast again... We'll have to call in the vet again.

ROVE: Mr. President.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Oh, hi Karl. Is that a TV dinner?

ROVE: Mr. President, I need your approval to send this.

PRESIDENT BUSH: What is it? Is that the Internets?

ROVE: (sighs) Just say "okay," Mr. President.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Okay, Mr. President. I thought I was President.

ROVE: Somehow, you are. I'll see you at noon, Mr. President. Goodbye.
