I've gleamed this from DailyKos.

304 Independents

There ya go. Another pro-Bush poll destroyed.

it will be a real treat to watch them try to explain how they were accurate all along after JFK kicks Bunker Boys ass on Nov 2.

13. Yeah, that's out of line with every other poll
Remember, that Newsweek poll a week or two ago had Kerry leading among men and Bush among women. They obviously have some problems.

8. TIPP, ZOGBY, WAPO, and Rasmussen Are Weighting...
Their results are similiar ...

small Kerry or Bush lead..

Before you reply I'm not saying they are the same...

FOX, Battleground, Newsweek don't weight and their results are the same...

a five or six point asshat lead...

Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 12:22 PM by larissa
I've only seen one poll mentioned (Zogby) where it showed Kerry ahead by one point.. but they were quick to mention "This is before the OBL tape"

Not sure where they were going with that comment-

(edit.. oops. that should have read that I've only seen "one" poll since I woke up this morning :hangover: )

11. I would be willing to bet money that
a hefty percentage of those "independents" are right leaning, and were identified as such before they were questioned. Thus the ridiculously skewed number of "independents" favoring the chimp.

12. If that same sample were to mirror...
... year 2000 registrations, it would be:

376 Republicans
463 Democrats
126 Independents/Other

14. How can they get away with that?

The polling methods this year are so ridiculous its a joke.

There was a Gallup poll last week and someone got the internals and ONE-THIRD of them were in the $75,000+ income group.

These polls are nothing but garbage, how can they get away with that and no one calls them on it??!!

15. Any more specifics?
Are there any more specifics from the Newsweek poll, like a breakdown of how the percentages break down for each group? Like how many Republicans say they'd vote for Bush, how many Republicans say they'd go for Kerry, etc...? I'm just wondering because I'd like to see how far ahead Kerry actually is in a PROPERLY weighted poll.

17. Nevermind, I read the full article...
and by my (very) rough estimations (and I'm not a statician or anything, lol), it comes out to about 47.2 Bush/46.45 Kerry. Of course, I'm just using very rough estimates of 40% Democratic voters, 35% Republican, 25% Independent.

18. Is that your final answer? I don't know who is pretending to
be Newsweek's "pollsters" but to be so wrong so late in the game should be enough to discredit this outfit forever. Maybe they should find a different line of work, aluminum siding sales or something.
