Notice the self adulation in AWOL's commercials and theme song?
"Still the one" is about adoring AWOL and if anyone has seen the commercial with the doctored photo of the troops, the one that is SUPPOSED to be about the troops, it shows THEM and some stupid hag at the RNC looking adoringly at AWOL and not the other way around.

1. And the freaky commercial I've been seeing lately that shows him
speaking at the convention. The melodramatic music just evokes images of Hitler to me. They should fire the ad agency.

2. Now would you honestly deny AWOL the chance to
adulate himself? Hey, somebody's gotta do it!

4. "Still the One" brings back fond memories of all
the fun we had back in the day with the Nixon slogan: "Nixon's the One." Who can forget the armies of pregnant nuns walking around with the Nixon sign and an arrow pointing to their stomachs?

5. They must have pulled the "still the one" one
Because they band is pro Kerry and told them to stop.

I wouldn't be able to stomach any ads from the piece of shit fraud.

6. "We're still having fun" - Why did they even pick this song?
Doesn't sound appropriate to me.... Like everything else they do I guess, they probably picked the song for just the title and didn't bother to listen to the lyrics.

Still The One
Orleans
words and music by John Joseph Hall and Johanna D. Hall

- #5 hit in 1976

We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again
But I want you to know, after all these years
You're still the one I want whisperin' in my ear

You're still the one -- I want to talk to in bed
Still the one -- that turns my head
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

I looked at your face every day
But I never saw it 'til I went away
When winter came, I just wanted to go (wanted to go)
Deep in the desert, I longed for the snow

You're still the one -- that makes me laugh
Still the one -- that's my better half
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You're still the one -- that makes me strong
Still the one -- I want to take along
We're still having fun, and you're still the one (yes you are)

Changing, our love is going gold
Even though we grow old, it grows new

You're still the one -- that I love to touch
Still the one -- and I can't get enough
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

You're still the one -- who can scratch my itch
Still the one -- and I wouldn't switch
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You are still the one -- that makes me shout
Still the one -- that I dream about
We're still having fun, and you're still the one
You're still the one, yeah still the one
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

7. Bush seems to confuse being (un)elected President with being anointed...
by God as a monarch.

Remember him saying how much he likes the fact that as president he
doesn't have to explain himself to anyone? Apparently that's the biggest
perk for him. I can't imagine a more childish, meglomaniacal thing for
a sitting president to believe.
