Kerry opens lead in Florida
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/content/news/epaper/2004/10/30/m1a_prespoll_1030.html

For the first time this week, U.S. Sen. John Kerry on Friday pulled ahead of President Bush in Florida, according to a poll that has been tracking voter opinion in 10 key states.

Just three days before the election, The Palm Beach Post/Reuters/Zogby International poll showed that 47 percent of likely voters in the Sunshine State supported Kerry, while 45 percent of the 600 surveyed said they supported Bush.

2. If FL and OH break for us (and I believe they will)
This election will be sewn up rather early on Tuesday evening.

7. Hell yes!
It'd be over even before we cross the Mississippi River! lol!

I could get really drunk really early! Woo-hoo!

PS.. I wonder what effect the 59Kerry-39Bush early voting numbers will have on turnout..?

3. For the record, this is one of those zogby state polls

Kerry will win Florida, but zogby has some very weird state numbers.

waiting in line with K/E pins on. The pugs didn't look confident.

11. Of the 45% in Florida who support shrub.... I imagine 100% of them
are primarily Fauxnooze viewers almost exclusively. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if this were the case.

12. Florida Will Be A Real Spoiler
After hearing about the early voting and the energized efforts in the hispanic and black communities to make sure their votes count, I already see us ahead of the 2000 game.

Remember, without Palm Beach retirees voting for Buchanan and if half the blacks who were turned away in 2000 are voting now, that means we will start out Tuesday in far better shape. Then add in our large GOTV efforts and the pundits are in for a big surprise.

One interesting thing is what appears to be a disorganized GOOP effort in Florida. There are a bunch of memos in the georgewbush.org dead letter office and I also have seen posts and heard of problems at polls finding Repugnican poll judges and other workers. A friend reported in many precincts he saw in Broward and Dade Counties (I know they're very blue), the lines for Democrats wanting to vote is always double if not triple the GOOP side.

I like what I'm reading & seeing.

Remember, the fastest poll is a snapshot of what was 24 or more hours ago and then even longer if someone is writing a story with their own spin on it.

Cheers!

13. I really like our chances
I like the electoral-vote map. He has it Bush 280 and Kerry 243. But this is because there is a Strategic Vision poll showing a "tie" in NY and 1 poll showing Bush "winning Michigan. Not to mention that poll showing Bush winning Hawaii. This means we can easily add 36 EV's to Kerry's 243, which gives him 279 and a good win. He also has Bush leading in Ohio, but I don't think that will happen.
