Zogby showing Kerry ahead |
|
www.zogby.com
Daily tracking poll (over 3 days): Kerry 47% Bush 46%
Note that Bush's number, historically speaking, will be his ceiling in the actual vote.

2. The Zog is one of the only pollsters I take seriously |
|
due to his accuracy in 1996 and 2000.

17. And Zog said to Jon Stuart (paraphrase).... |
|
An incumbent with under 50% going to the polls = defeat
An incumbent in the 46% range with 60% expected turnout (highest since '82) = doom
That's why Republi-can'ts are putting most of their efforts into voter suppression. They've got to get votes-counted down to the low 50's. If you can't raise the candidate, lower the electorate.

One of my good friends has that on his car. It took some people a while to realize there was an extra letter. Highly amusing.

21. 264 posts and you've never seen one? Maybe the Mods.... |
|
...could leave one on a no comment thread for educational purposes.
Or maybe on the rules page.

15. I don't agree with the poster, but lots of 'Pukes think Bush spends too |
|
much and is therefor a liberal in the classic Republican model. Remember that Clinton stole the Republican agenda and made it his own, thereby marginalizing the Repukes. Some of the older Republicans would like to reclaim the ground they had before Clinton. Strange but true - read that gay New Republic guys (what the heck is his name - eludes me) reasons for voting for Kerry. He says that Bush is more liberal than Kerry!

14. Lesson 1: How to Spot a FREEPER |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 06:45 PM by PermanentRevolution
1) They begin posts like this: "Here is what I do think, A Kerry victory will be absolute disaster for the Democrats"
2) They refer to our candidate as an "incompetent, arrogant boob"
3) They make statements that the media was supportive of Clinton.
4) They rave about Hillary in '08, since they're apparently all convinced that we Democrats would gladly lose this time in order to set up Hillary in '08. NEWSFLASH: Hillary is NOT going to run for President. As long as she's in NY, she's got a Senate seat as long as she wants it. She can build up as much Senate power as Ted Kennedy, and she's NOT going to give that up to make a run for the White House. She knows she's hated by the right-wing. She knows her campaign would make the polarization we're seeing now look like a love-in.
5) They call the DLC "very smart, very clever."
6) They call Bush "left-leaning."
And most importantly...
7) They can't seem to recognize that they're about to get SLAUGHTERED in the polls on Tuesday!
Have a nice visit.
EDIT: Wow! Killed before I even finished typing.

26. Yeah, they're absolutely looney tunes... |
|
...with their Hillary obsession. They think we are all sitting around 24/7 trying to figure out how to get her in the White House, when in fact, unless its someone who happens to live in NY, we really don't think about her much at all. First they thought she was going run for President this time with a last minute announcement. Naw. Wrong on that. Then they thought Kerry was going to make her VP in a surprise last choice. Naw. Wrong on that. Now they think we want Kerry to intentionally lose so that she can run in 2008. These people are batty. Absolutely hysterical.
