Are Kerry's Iowa numbers pumped up in Iowa because wouldbe Clark... |
|
voters can't really vote for Clark there?
It seems like many of the folks that would be voting for Clark in Iowa might be going for Kerry due to Military Credentials and wartime experience.
I think if Clark were in Iowa, he and Kerry would be competing for the same votes and neither would look as strong as Kerry does now.
Just a thought.

Kerry's doing great, I believe he's giving Dean a run for his money & as Dean falters over these numbers, I hate to see him when he really gets slammed. Which is coming.

3. It's bad strategy, if they are. |
|
Kerry is the most direct threat to Clark in NH, and if Kerry does very well, he immediately threatens Clark, not Dean.

8. Very, very bad strategy. |
|
Kerry has a real chance of eclipsing both Clark and Dean. He has an even better chance of arising as the #1 Dean alternative and harming Clark's chances greatly. This is the immediate threat and the greatest one.
Clark supporters should be very careful about what they wish for.

9. Neither Kerry nor Clark will 'peel off' Dean supporters. |
|
If Clark supporters are boosting Kerry's Iowa bid, I would warn them about self-inflicted wounds. Dean's 'base' is solid, and Kerry will only hurt Clark, and vice-versa.

4. Possibly, though Clark is only polling 2-3% there... |
|
so unless they're all voting for Kerry (unlikely), it probably won't make a huge difference overall.

5. There's been threads here suggesting that exact same strategy |
|
So I'd say it's VERY possible.
