other than the fact that Bush will be history, of course . . .
it's the kind of people who will have the president's ear . . . instead of Christianoids and Dominionists and Corporatists and Moonies and all other manner of pond scum, people like Bill Clinton and Al Gore and Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich and Mario Cuomo and Wes Clark and Bruce Springsteen will have access and know that their their opinions will be heard . . . on our behalf . . . I particularly like the notion of The Boss being able to call the Oval Office and share his thoughts on the kinds of things he's been singing about for 30 years . . . :)

the U.S. Supreme Court picks!
That could have a 40 year impact on the path of this country, if Kerry's pick is on the young side.
I think Rehnquist went on the Supreme Court in '72, just to illustrate how long lasting the effect can be.
