Scenario: Long lines, polls close leaving hundreds of thousands of voters
with no voting opportunity.

Kerry will win but the Bush team will object and attempt to strongarm the election and blame dems for disenfranchising the voters.

1. Take the freakin' day off and get in line at 6:00 a.m.
I am and I live in CA. I am not even taking CA for granted!

4. As long as you arrive before closing time
they must, by law, allow you to vote. Even if it takes til 3 AM.

6. That's why I voted last week

our state doesn't officially allow "early voting" but you could go to the Election Office, request an absentee ballot, and they'd let you vote right then and there. When I've worked at the polls in the past, our rule is that everyone who was in line by 7pm (when the polls close in my state) got to vote, no matter how long it took them to get through the line to actually vote.

7. Cannot be repeated enough:
If you are in line BEFORE THE TIME THE POLLS CLOSE --

you ARE allowed to vote. Period. All elections officials know this.
