Good job, Kerry campaign with OBL Tape |
|
Everyone thought that it would take the wind out of their sails and take them off message, but Kerry has been hammering Bush on OBL all day. Meanwhile, Bush can't respond with anything other than gripes about the attack itself. Let's hammer home the message and bring it home on 11/2.

1. Another missed opportunity |
|
I was just driving home from the grocery store and listening to NPR. They were interviewing someone who quoted Rove as saying that Bush will not mention bin Laden for the balance of the campaign. I am just amazed. What a missed opportunity. How many of our past presidents would behave in such a cowardly manner?? Why was Bush all over the news last night reassuring the Nation that we are safe?? Why not a press conference to inform the public what his administration knows about this tape, and what he is doing to keep us safe?? He would have had the media eating out of his hand. President Clinton never shirked or abandoned his duty to keep us informed; not even during the worst assails upon him and his family. I will be so glad when we have John Kerry, a real man and statesman in control of the helm once, again.

3. I guess he's embarrassed of his record of failure |

to capture Bin Laden. I would be. I'm seeing a lot of desperation and spin from the Bush camp. And now they want to ignore the biggest terrorist threat? They are out of ideas. Let Kerry pound on him about this.
Thanks for the update on NPR, Diana52. I hadn't heard that.

4. I'm amazed ANYONE in the media can say... |
|
that this tape in any way helps the president. What a LUDICROUS thing to say. How is seeing OBL alive going to make people want to keep the man who failed to "deal" with him in the oval office???
It just strengthens Kerry's arguments that the shrub is an ineffective moron...

5. All KKKarl can do is insist that down is up |

That's why all these fools have been saying "This is good for Bush.'' Classic GOP style; repeat the same lie over and over and over until it is accepted as fact. This time, the lie is too incredible and time is too short.

Every clip of * starts with him saying "We need a president that can have an effective war on terror" and "We need a president to keep us safe"...but immediately you are reminded, by that tape, that he has NOT done an effective job on the WOT, and now that we know for a fact that OBL is alive and still communicating, we know that we are not more safe.
