I can't bring myself to believe this really means anything significant but
there have been HUGH (sic, freeper lingo) turnouts for early voting here in Wagoner and in Tulsa too...and I made a thorough sweep thru my bible-belt neighborhood this afternoon and couldn't find ONE Bush sign.
In fairness, I have to say there were only 2 Kerry signs, and mine is one of them. Maybe it's because the GOPers are so sure they have Okla locked up they don't even bother to supply signs (also there are ZERO Bush OR Kerry TV commercials on, period)...which kinda makes me think the Repugs are certain of victory and the Dems are pre-emptively accepting defeat...but it's just weird to me that there so few private endorsement, sign-wise anyhoo...there are THOUSANDS of signs for the local yokels running for sheriff, state rep, district atty, etc. Like I said, it just seems weird to me. I would bet a sawbuck against a cold cup of coffee Chimp will win Okla (and pray to lose) but we do, I really believe, have a good shot of getting a Dem Senator. Carson is a virtual DINO but he's less odius than Coburn. It's gonna be a wild ride in 3 days. :eyes:

2. In Oklahoma's senate race...
wasn't there something about a potential scandal involving Coburn? That ever come into play?

(Here is Texas Dist 19: DINO (but damned attractive this year!) Charlie Stenholm is battling that FAT FUCK Randy Neugebauer (R-BushFamily) to the death in our new gerrymandered district. Farmers like Charlie so we are hopin'....)

7. Yeah, I WANT to lose it! You probably know I've known Tom Coburn
very well personally for almost 40 years and keep hammering him about his idiotic ideas (which of course doesn't have any effect)...he was an arrogant little prick when he was in high school. Not much has changed.

8. Was Not Aware Of That, Sir
You have my sympathy, and my respect for your patience and even temper; to refrain from hitting him with a brick would be beyond me....

6. I grew up at 38th & Lewis, went to Edison, 1959 grad...my mom still
lives there. I haven't had a chance to get over there the last few weeks, need to, though. She (my mom) has been a Republican for...I guess 70 years but this year she's definitely going for JK.

5. Kerry Will Do Surprisingly Well in JOklahoma
but I seriously doubt he will take the state.

I drove about half to three quarters of a mile through a neighborhood on the southeast corner of 51st and Lewis earlier this week and counted almost equal Kerry and Bush signage. And earlier today a young waiter at BBD II commented on my Kerry dog tag and indicated that he and a number of other young first time voters would be supporting Kerry. This is a small state so this could represent a greater percentage change in the final spread than anticipated.

As for the Senate race, Coburn is a real kook. And I surely hope he doesn't win. Unfortunately, he does appeal to many of the fundies here. I will vote for Carson and I will be really, really, really glad when this race is over. I've been getting multiple pre-recorded calls every day - yesterday I got 2 in an hour.
