The reason Bin Laden tape seems to be hurting Bush...
...is the respective responses of the Dem and Republican campaigns to the tape.

The republicans are calling it "a little gift", predicting "a Bush landslide" thanks to the tape. and generally crowing -- like McCain -- that the tape will help Bush. Oh, and let us not forget the GOP operative comment that "people vote for Bush when they are scared".

Apparently that is making people say "Waittaminute. These guys are giddy that we have been threatened. And if this is helping Bush, does that mean that Osama bin Laden may actually be trying to help Bush?"

Meanwhile, what are the Dems doing? I've heard comments that this tape won't have an effect, and I've heard comments that it's likely to help Bush. I have not heard any Dem spokesperson say that this tape will help Kerry.

I think our team has found the Rove antidote:

Meet Evor, the Democrat who plays chess while forcing Karl Rove to play checkers.

again I say, all Kerry needs to do is look at the camara and say: "I have a question for you Mr. President...

Why's that sonofabitch still alive???"

4. Yes. The Republicans have no sense of decency or honor,
no understanding of what true courage and forthrightness looks like. They fake and spin and lie, but when a human response is required, they usually misstep.

I'm disgusted that McCain said what he said about this tape. I would expect a veteran to know better. He appears to have taken stupid pills in recent months.

2. Excellent Points, Sir
The glee of Republicans and their supporters over this is unseemly and offensive. People can hardly be moved favorably towards the Repoblicans by their cries the arch-terrorist, the man most hated by our citizenry, has made them a gift by showing us all he is still alive and uncaught....

"If you repeat a lie often enough, you are a Republican."

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

6. This is a very good point
I can just see all the Sunday morning talk shows discussing how the tape benefits Bush. All the Repub talking heads speaking as though it is just a tool in their plan. The audience watching these shows should say "HUH!!!!"????? What about we the people. Might even lead to a waitaminute for those that haven't connected the dots and they could think...why is he even still out there? The more this is played as a game the more smart folks should see that the good of the country has nothing to do with what Bush thinks! (Of course smart folks leaves out their party I guess!)
