Bush Mocks Kerry for Lambeau Name Gaffe

Sat Oct 30, 4:29 PM ET

By SCOTT LINDLAW, Associated Press Writer

GREEN BAY, Wis. - President Bush (news - web sites) could not resist a fresh opportunity to tease his opponent about fumbling the name of the Green Bay Packers' field. In fact, Bush went out of his way Saturday to create the opportunity.

After his speech, Bush made an unannounced stop across the street at Lambeau Field, home of the NFL team. Democratic candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) had flubbed the name of the Packers' venerable home field last summer, confusing Lambeau Field with Lambert Field, the name of the St. Louis Airport.

"It's nice to be here at Lambeau Field," Bush said, emphasizing the "BO" in Lambeau's second syllable.

A couple dozen Bush supporters stood in the parking lot on a cool gray day, awaiting him.

4. "A couple dozen" supporters? 80,000 people for Kerry, 24 for Bush?
Imagine how the media would be spinning if it was Bush getting hundreds of thousands at his rallies and Kerry getting a few hundred people. The media would be slamming Kerry daily. Where are the articles proclaiming Kerry's popularity with the public because of his huge turnouts?

The media sucks.

45. When the media does mention it, it's because of the stars...
No. It's because of Kerry that the stars support him. I sent an e-mail to Dana Milbank at the WH recently condemning him for derogatory remarks about John Kerry. He wrote that throngs of cheering crowds follow Bush, while Kerry supporters are too low-keyed. My letter to him was long and very critical of this administration and I ended it with:

"After the first debate, I was no longer voting against Bush, but for Kerry. Hopefully, he will be able to restore some of the damage done to this country, reverse some of the damaging policies that Bush has opted for, and bring back necessary unity and faith in our elected officals.

Who cares about delusional cheerleaders for Bush. I'm cheering for Kerry."

Plus, I thought Kerry was French, so how could he mess up "Lambeau"? Must not be much of a Frenchman. Maybe he should have called it Freedom Field.

You then later FLIPFLOPPED and gave them two fucking hours after two fucking full years of misery. You did not have the time to even bother fucking set a Commission up, dammit!! You did not have time to make sure that your damn Iraq priorities included safeguarding and securing weapons over fucking oilfields. You didn't even jump to a chance to come to your country's aid when havoc was being wreaked on MILLIONS of your citizens, instead, looking clueless and BEING clueless in front of a gradeschool classroom. YES, ASSHOLE GWB, you need to answer for your fucking incompetence and for the TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DEATHS you have caused worldwide.

You deserve the most unthinkable punishments for your vile acts and omissions.

56. Aren't you sick of his arrogant mocking a** !
I am so glad President Kerry is nothing like this arrogant fake man.
He could care less about you or me. His only concern is himself and his power.

He makes me ill just thinking he is the President of a nation as great as this one.
