There is a place you can send feedback underneath it... If you can, take a sec to fill it out.

I said I don't support Bush or the republicans, I have a negative reaction to the ad, and it makes me not want to go to the yahoo page.

4. I think that yahoo was running a Kerry ad last week
Any candidate can buy ads on yahoo, I think, just like networks on TV.

6. Just so ya know
often when I look on the yahoo "most popular" pages, I've seen DNC ads all the way down the right side. Now, I haven't seen either RNC or DNC adds on the "My Yahoo" page I have set up.

Personally, I don't think Yahoo should have political ads at all on their pages, but I don't run it, and I'm sure that all they are thinking about is the $$$ flowing in from those ads.

Now what I HAVE noticed is that on the "Top Story" module, it can change from "bin Laden threatens new attacks" to "No threat specified on bin Laden tapes" depending on when I happen to log in.

7. I cancelled my Yahoo account because of that thing.

It switches out in that spot from the ad to a section
about their election coverage.

So it's NOT the same as the Kerry ads.

10. CNN.com
is always packed with Kerry ads. They have to agree to sell equal time/space to both (if it's requested), don't they?

16. I've read all the posts and I don't see anyone 'defending' the AD
... only Yahoo's right to take money from the GOP to display it.

Insinuating that people are trolls because of their post counts is just lame. Chill. Du'ers should be above that.

Good that you cancelled your account over it, but please also keep in mind how many on 'that other board' probably did the same thing when they saw a DNC ad there.

17. They are defending the ad.
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 09:53 PM by kaitykaity
You obviously didn't read the posts that
I'm talking about.

As I said before, it's interchangeable with
their "news" icon.

That's bias, plain and simple.

Oh, okay, I guess I'll just ignore such people
and let them take over the board.

I'll just smoke a doobie and let it go.

Sure, right, uh-huh, yeah, you put that in an
original post, and then put on your flame suit.

Chill my ass.

14. I saw several DNC ads
on the message boards and other pages on Yahoo. What's the big deal? Do you delete ABC from your remote control if they play a * ad on TV?

There was a DU-effort to let Yahoo know what we thought earlier today .... I replied with the most extreme NO and DISLIKE options as possible, and in the 'free form' box wrote 'get this shit off of my homepage !'

Keep the comments coming !!

22. my response
Because the Republican Party does NOT make America stronger when it divides it the way it does. It does NOT make America safer when our money is spent on tax breaks for the rich instead of homeland security and our war on terror is being fought in the wrong country. It does not protect the values of America, only the values of a select few who wish to convert all others to their way of life.
The Republican party is a corrupt organzed crime family which is destroying our democracy. KERRY AND LIBERALS 2004!!
THREE MORE DAYS!!
