Poll shows Hispanic voters clearly favor Kerry
Knight Ridder Newspapers

MIAMI - (KRT) - A clear majority of the nation's Hispanics will support John Kerry for president, a new poll conducted for the Miami Herald shows - providing what could be an important boost in his quest for the White House,

With a million more Hispanic voters across the country this year than in 2004, the high support for Kerry means Bush and the Republicans don't appear to be making the inroads into the Hispanic vote they hoped for after the 2000 election.

The poll, conducted for The Herald by Zogby International last week, shows that about 61 percent of Hispanic voters nationwide support Kerry, while about 33 percent support Bush. The poll of 751 Hispanic likely voters has a margin of error of 3.7 percent.

``What this means is that Kerry has done what Gore did,'' pollster John Zogby said. ``And secondly, it's now over 60 percent of a larger group of Hispanics.''

3. While George talks about all his Hispanics voters
the Repugs are trying to stop as many of them as they can from voting. Tells me their polls are telling them the same thing.

5.  i know the young hispanics
who i work with are voting for kerry. not sure about the older generation, they really haven`t said much. the "white" voters are split evenly-some out spoken kerry supporters..no big bush supporters and some one issue voters who favor bush.

9. He made it in his first (and only) address to the nation about Iraq
He said something to the effect that he believed that "brown people could govern themselves."

10. he's said that alot of times
it's a bullshit strawman. He's saying that critics of the war are saying that "brown people" can't govern themselves.

7. New Cuban restrictions
I had a feeling this would backfire on shrub. They put a new law in to limit visits to Cuba to once every 3 years I think. Pissed off a lot of people in Miami
