What will the weather be like in the swing states Nov.2?
Just wondering because if there is Early Voting on Sunday or Monday and showers Tuesday,Vote Early!

IMO, it is best to vote ASAP.
If the Early Voting is any indication, it's a 2 -3 hr. wait in some places. That is a lot for anybody but I am really worried about our Seniors and Disabled.

My prayer is for sun shiny days from now until Nov.3rd.

The Sun will come out and Hope is On The Way!

1. Someone said
bad weather can put a real damper on turnout, at least in this state - MI.

We've gotta do our best to make sure people get their asses to the polls, regardless of the weather.

2. Do you have early voting now?

What part of Michigan are you living in now?

The leaves should be beautiful.

3. We don't have any polls open
Only Absentee. At least that's what I think. I'm in south east Michigan...in a suburb of Detroit.

I'm feeling really confident about this state. I was driving in areas that are relatively conservative - and while there were many Bush Cheney signs, the Kerry people were holding their own. There were a LOT of Kerry signs. I see the RWers aren't intimidating them.

4. Here is a map from one site
Link to the page it is on: http://hurricane.accuweather.com/adcbin/public/headlines.asp?iws=5

Don't ask me about the URL; it has nothing to do with hurricanes. Must be the name of the server it is on.

This site changes its headlines frequently and this URL may point to a different page before Tuesday... probably not though.

Nasty weather for the South, rain for the Northeast, rain in Oregon (irrelevant), looking dry everywhere else. We may need people in PA and possibly OH encouraging people to vote... but, for some reason, I'm thinking that voters probably won't be deterred in those two states.

As for the Deep South.... well, I'm in this region, but neither rain, nor snow... er, you get the idea.. will prevent me from voting for John Kerry, 44th President of the United States. (Man, that sounds good.) And maybe it will deter a few fundie repuke voters who think that it's so red here, their votes won't be missed. It's probably wishful thinking to think that rain would turn the South blue, but we're more than happy to take some thunderstorms in the place of other areas on Election Day. :hi:

6. I have a friend in NM and in her area it's going to be nasty on Tuesday..
with low temperatures around 28 degrees. She voted absentee, but I hope the weather doesn't discourage Democrats from voting. New Mexico SHOULD go to Kerry.

I grew up in northern Indiana and I always remember the news people talking about bad weather influencing voter turnout. This election is so different that although I think it could keep a few voters away, hopefully it won't keep a high enough number to matter.

9. Wow, where does your NM friend live?
Here in Albuquerque it's supposed to be sunny with a high in the upper 50's-low 60's. Should be a beautiful November day.

19. Late answer, but my friend lives TOO close to Texas. Near the Panhandle.
Glad to hear that Albuquerque is going to be sunny. Lots more people there to vote. My friend lives in Clovis. Not a pretty place, heh heh, but it's a decent 40,000 people or so town that is, I think, mostly republican. I shouldn't say it isn't a pretty place. I guess I'm always comparing it to the rural home on the river that I used to own in Indiana. I've lived in Clovis. I love New Mexico, but Clovis is in the flat barren lands just a few miles away from the Texas panhandle. I like lots of greenery. :)

I'm in Broward County, Florida now. I don't think anyone recognizes my posts, so I feel safe in repeating that for about the 20th time. I longed to go back to Indiana. If Bush wins, which I DON'T see happening at all, but if that nightmare does happen, I might move back to Clovis and hide out in it's semi-desert, two hours away from anything in any direction atmosphere. Hermit time.

13. Heard it was supposed to be raining in Pa.
At least in the western part of the state. Shouldn't be a problem though. I lived there for 42 years, and we're used to all kinds of crummy weather. Only thing that would actually keep people home would be a very heavy snow storm, and that's not going to happen!

15. My dad said it was supposed to rain in Columbus Ohio
He is voting for Bush though so I don't know if he was lying (he is a republican!) to make me mad or if it really is suppose to rain. Anyone know?

18. Colorado
Sunny and 45 in Colorado Springs. Looks as though the rest of the state will also be sunny and anywhere from around 30 degrees to 60 degrees.
