CHRONOLOGY-Journalists killed in Iraq

LONDON, Oct 31 (Reuters) - The death of a kidnapped Iraqi Kurdish journalist, confirmed by his wife on Sunday, underscores how fraught with danger Iraq is for journalists. The journalists listed below are known to have been killed since March 2003.

The actual number is believed to be higher and the list does not include at least 15 translators, drivers and other media assistants said by media watchdogs to have died since the start of the conflict.

2003:

- March 22 - Terry Lloyd, reporter for Britain's Independent Television News, and his translator Hussein Othman are killed near Basra. Cameraman Fred Nerac is still missing.

- March 22 - Australian cameraman Paul Moran killed by car bomb in northern Iraq.
