October 31, 2004 -- DES MOINES, Iowa — With only two days left until the presidential showdown, the latest polls show the race for the White House is still too close to call.

"We have numbers that are all over the map. And we'll know on Tuesday night who's right with their polls."

<I probably should've added this originally.>

New CEA Survey Finds Consumer Shift to Cellular Phones, New Telephone Technologies Leave Millions out of Polling Process - Survey Finds Republicans More Likely To Respond To Phone Polls; Democrats More Likely To Screen Calls and Answer Most Calls At Home Using Cell Phone

<I pretty much stopped putting up polls after that; and in hindsight, I'm glad I did.>

2. Weekend polls
It's impossible to take the real pulse of the race from weekend polls. They are notoriously innacurate. My nails are bitten to the nub!!!

6. Why is that?
it's an assertion I see made on Free Republic all the time, with no explanation. Why is weekend polling less reliable than weekday?
