Would the owners of the Redskins football team have them lose the game on |
|
purpose - to help Bush win?
In the past if the Redskins lost, the present occupant of the WH also lost. If the Redskins win the present occupant get to stay.

2. I have heard of that Redskins/Election tie in |
|
before. But, you know what? In a year when the Boston Red Sox win the World Series, nothing will follow old patterns. Do not pay the Packers/Redskins outcome any mind----unless you are a football fan like I am! (Don't carry the outcome of the game any farther than the field itself)

FWIW, I think the Packers crush the Redskins today.

Already claims he put in his absentee ballot for * in NC before the game. I put him in the "idiot" category because I don't think he's evil and * supporters always fall into one, or both of those categories.

6. How have the elections gone... |
|
...in a year when four major hurricanes have hit Florida? ...in a year when the President loses three debates? ...in a year when a major star's breast is exposed? ...in a year when the cost of oil has risen dramtically? ...in a year when ketchup becomes a political liability? ...in a year when hockey is on strike?
Sports is sports and as much as I love some sports, the outcome of a single sporting event can't affect the presidential vote. And if a sporting event can somehow affect the presidential vote, we're in big trouble as a nation.

10. don't you have that backwards? |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 08:24 AM by orangepeel68
If the coincidence holds, the Redskins have to win for the incumbent party to lose win. (on edit -- whoops! I got it backwards!)
If the owners threw the game (as an aside, I don't really see how they could do that -- the players would have to be involved), that would be anti-bush.
