Green Bay Press-Gazette endorses the shrub
http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/news/archive/opinion_18409552.shtml

>snip<
The Press-Gazette endorses the re-election of Republican President George W. Bush.

Since World War II, no other president has had to deal with such imminent threat to the country, given the massive attack on Sept. 11, 2001, and the ongoing possibility that we still could be vulnerable to such treachery.

Standing resolutely in the face of such threats has been Bush’s strength. He rallied this country in the wake of the attacks and has developed a homeland security system that has proven effective for the three years since that awful day.

This is a country at war. It is not the time to change leaders. While there are countless foreign and domestic issues that need to be dealt with, a consistent policy stands taller than promises of solutions that come without substance.

************

no big surprise here, but the irony is that they endorsed Michels over Feingold, primarily because "things are so messed up, and Feingold has done nothing for northeast WI in the last few years" (my paraphrase).

1. .........and if the Packers beat the Redskins today..........

Kerry will win the Presidency; or so they were telling me on CNN this morning.

Apparently the last home game before the election for the Redskins has determined the winner for the last 17 elections.
