Russert is trying his best to destroy Kerry on MTP
Bob Kerry is giving this asshole a run for his money. Russert has brought up every fucking right-wing talking point against Kerry. This is a shameful sham.

11. I think if Kerry loses it is because they stole the election. I really
believe the vast majority of the people want Bush out. And strongly. The polls are off because dems fewer showed up to vote last election than this one. If anyone isn't showing up this time it is repugs who can't vote for a democrat, and can't stomach Bush. These people are scary I am watching Frist and Pelosi. He is very Orwellian. Major league asshole. I wish he would fall off the face of the earth.

7. The only good thing is that
I truly don't believe most of the public watches the Sunday morning shows. I know I had NEVER watched any of them til I started coming to these boards. I was reading the paper and had HGTV on most of Sunday mornings. So those that have not made up their minds probably are not watching anyway.

22. You're right, my oldest sister is very right-wing and she
does not watch the Sunday morning talk shows. Her TV is probably turned onto the Sci Fi network or the history channel (her husband's favorite network).

5. I don't think the media are right wing or left wing...
I think they bait/attack whomever they are interviewing, in hopes of provoking an outburst or memorable quote, that makes them look smart - at the end of the day, they believe in/stand for, nothing - only themselves

12. The main-stream media has stopped doing their job long ago
They are so afraid that they will be labelled "liberal" that they bend over backwards to demonstrate they are not

They are lazy and predictable

There job is to question everything, and all they do is take the talking points from the campaigns instead of doing their own research

16. Bob Kerrey was a terrific surrogate for JK! One criticism is he did not
do well with though was the question of John Kerry's 1971 testimony to Congress. He ought to have said that there were atrocites committed in Vietnam and condoned by the Pentagon. Bob Kerrey knows this himself from personal experience.

29. He also owes Bush*
It was by comparison to Bush* that Giuliani looked good. He did nothing more than any Mayor would have done but because Bush* did nothing at all Rudy stood tall. It was three days later that Bush* showed his face in New York. Hell President Clinton was in Australia and all airlines had been grounded and he still got to New York before Bush* made an appearance. Clinton was there for the people and he was asking what he could do to help. When Bush* got there he never asked what he could do to help he just threw out his chest and said we will get revenge. We will go kill the bastards that did this. Clinton was compassionate and concerned and Bush* was boastful and belligerent. "We will smoke them out dead or alive" There is a time and a place for that kind of talk and IMHO that was not yet the time. Giuliani was the one on the Republican side that was actually showing concern for the people and the situation just as I'm sure any Mayor would have done. It was by Bush*'s utter lack of leadership that made Rudy look so good by comparison
