6. you're talking about a small sample size |
|
If you talk to 500 or 1000 people, you're figuring you talked to just 10 or 20 people who said they'd vote for Kerry or Bush moreso than the other guy.
It really is meaningless when you think about it. Do YOU represent the views of 300,000 people?

10. I was hoping Kerry would expand on his lead in Zogby's poll. |
|
I've been telling myself for months that Zogby was the only poll that I'd come close to trusting based on his results in 2000. Don't get me wrong - I believe the majority of Americans intend to vote for Kerry, however, with most polls showing a tie, I fear the pigs will steal it again. Even people here have been saying that if polls show a close race or tie, it will be easier to steal than it would if Kerry was ahead by a small, but consistent margin. With polls deadlocked, the public will swallow a chimp victory through theft more easily. Perception is powerful. And right now the public-at-large believes this could go either way. All I'm saying is that I was hoping the Zogby poll showd Kerry opening a small lead going into 11-2.

7. Well, he didn't actually gain two points - it's just a poll |

Their margin of error is very large so in a close race they are essentially saying nothing at all unless one candidate leads beyond the MOE. Even a trend over a few days is not very telling due to sampling errors.
