The cable news networks insult the intelligence of the American people
The cable news stations are trying their hardest to use the OBL tape in order to create the illusion that Bush is "the strongest" in the war against terror and that people don't trust Kerry.

If the media says that Bush is gaining from the OBL story just because of a flawed Newsweek poll without giving any scientific explanation of why that is so, I can only conclude that these people are trying their hardest to favor Bush and that they are not being honest. I don't believe they are that stupid. They are just dishonest!

Anybody with a minimum critical thinking skill can figure out that OBL and Al-Qaida are still strong (if not stronger) after the Iraq invasion and are still promoting fear to all Americans since Bush, instead of focusing and hunting these guys, chose to go after a stupid thug who was already being monitored and contained by the US and the international community.

Bin Laden is still out there because Bush chose to go after Saddam Hussein who had nothing to do with 9/11. So how can people still think that OBL helps Bush? OBL is still out there because the Bush administration dropped the ball! The easy answer is: BECAUSE OF THE MEDIA.

I see how the media wants to create the illusion that people "trust" Bush in the war against terrorism. Not because they hope more people will switch from Kerry to Bush but to make sure the security mom types don't flock to Kerry.

The Newsweek poll is a joke and the analysis that the Bush gain in that stupid Newsweek poll is because of the OBL tape is simply painful since it is so ridiculous.

Right-wingers like to argue that if Kerry had his way Saddam Hussein would be in power today. Well, we at least have some proof that Bush had his way which is to have OBL is still out there scaring that crap out of the American people.

Do you feel safer today because of Bush? The media will try to make you think that you think that the answer is yes. I personally think that most people see that the terrorist are stronger today than before Bush decided to invade Iraq. But their voice is not heard in the cable news world.

I just wish the media would be fair and balanced and at least suggest that the OBL tape has the possibility of hurting Bush. But I'm convinced that the cable news media is in the business of re-selecting the idiot.

So expect them to insult your intelligence even more as we approach Tuesday. :-)

4. Also puzzeled by media's take ?
I cant understand how the media or any person can think the OBL tape is a plus for bush. It highlights that this guy is still out there ,after more then 1000 of our young men and young women have lost their lives fighting in the wrong war, we are no closer to having control over the terrorist then B/4 9/11 ? If anything all the tape does is highlight bushes failure ! Let them try and spin it anyway they want to ,in the end what the fact is the American people now know OBL is alive and well.

6. Scarborough's show has been a total joke for over a week pushing Bush
Every night they trot out RW pollster Frank Luntz to spin the polls and confidently tell us how Bush has all the momentum and is winning. It is such blatant propaganda designed to demoralize Kerry supporters and boost the Bushies.

5. The appearance of the bin Laden tape
helps bush* much like salt helps an open wound. I don't think they wanted that bogeyman to show up at all. (Although I really can't rule out it being a rove trick)

8. Yet you continue to be among the 1-3% of Americans who watch them....
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 11:42 AM by jackstraw45
If over 97% of Americans DON'T watch CNN or FAUX, why do you?

TURN THEM OFF! Ignore them and they'll either change or go away.

But when they see the effect of their spin in chatrooms and message boards, they go back and say to themselves "We must be doing something RIGHT to get all these people so riled up!"

JMO.
