10. Sadaam is not Osama, and George Bush is not Jesus
I was reading the newspaper while standing in line and the lady behind me said, "He's getting crazy again, huh?" Now, let me preface by saying that not only was OBL on the cover, but so were Bush and Kerry. Of course I said, "Who, Bush? He's always been crazy." She looked at me in shock and said, "No, Sadaam!" The man in front of me turned around and stared at her like she was an alien. Right then and there I KNEW he was one of us, and she was voting for the dark side. I said, "Ma'am, that is Osama Bin Laden, not Sadaam Hussein. Osama Bin Laden, who orchestrated the 9/11 attack on America is still free. Sadaam Hussein, who did not, is in jail." The man in front of me smiled, so knowing I had back-up, I proceeded.

"You and I are voting side by side today, Ma'am. I wouldn't dream of telling you how to exercise your rights as an American citizen, but in good conscience, I must say one thing: Your confusion frightens and concerns me. Remember who attacked us when you place your vote. Osama is still alive, and looking quite healthy, while over 1100 of our sons and daughters died to capture a man we had all along. Sadaam is not Osama, and George Bush is not Jesus."

17. Great post.
Her confusion, willfull ignorance, or just plain stupidity scares the holy shit out of me. And to think there are millions just like her.

18. Yes!
You kick ass! Then again, sometimes when you talk to certain 'pubs, it's like nothing is sinking in. They're like one-celled organisms. They release a lot of toxins and waste, but at the same time, have some sort of membrane around them that blocks any logic or sense from getting through.

20. She gets all her news from Faux
And you did a great job dressing her down. I'm glad you prefaced it by saying, "I wouldn't dream of telling you how to exercise your rights as an American citizen..."

That was important. We all have a right to vote for whatever reason or, in her case, without reason at all.

Going for the cheapest of cheap shots.

4. Dems need to get out video of Bush not being concerned about Osama
It wasn't Kerry but Giuliani who said that it was the troops fault for not finding and protecting the ammunition!

These Republicans are the biggest liars I have ever seen and our sorry media lets them get by with it over and over.

7. I can hardly wait for Mark Hyman's spin on this
"John Kerry didn't deserve his medals, is a known Frenchman, and he let Osama bin Laden get away by not voting for the 87 billion-dollar giveaway to Halliburton."

5. I think its Bush that has abandoned our troops.
The troops our the Presidents responsibility and he has sent them in inadequate numbers with inadequate body armor and inadequate planning. To add insult to injury he brings a plastic turkey to them for a photo op. Bush stands the truth on its head!

11. The troops won't buy that---
not after shrub blamed them for not guarding the ammo dump. I think the "troops", at least the higher ups in the chain of command, are super pissed the shrub mismanaged the war then foisted blame for it off on them.

It's all their fault those weapons were not able to be accounted for... it's all their fault we didn't win the peace... it's all their fault they didn't demand more troops....
