As much as I hate to say this, ignore Zogby's state polls now. Here is why

Early on I thought the guy was right on, because of his strong showing in the last election, but I know for a fact now his polls are skewed. How do I know? Simple: Zogby Interactive polls are online, with only a 2 percent sample actually followed up on by phone to verify their autheticity, and I've answered each of his polls multiple times with multiple emails (including ohio and Arizona, 2 states in which I do not live) and if I've done it just to see if it could be done, you KNOW there are multiple freepers out there purposely skewing the result, causing the Zogby polls to be such a huge outlier from the norm.

Ask yourself if you truly believe this: Bush is up 50-44 in a 4 day rolling average when kerry has spent FAR more money and time AND has had the state trending his way for weeks? HAH! I've got a bridge...

Edit: My fault for not giving proof at the beginning:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/9/17/145012/521 (Zogby first says he doesn't do telephone polling, which I read before, then admits he still gets a representative sample using telephone polling -- I missed that before)

http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/info-battleground04.html

(Read "METHODOLOGY" and note that it says, and I quote, "Polls through October 19 were conducted online only...")

Incidentally, that latest Zogby map is more proof than ever that his polls aren't correct. If they ARE, not only are we in much deeper trouble than anyone suspects, but he will be the ONLY one to get it right this year, as he has Bush up in Michigan by two, NM by SIX, and MN by one, and even PA is tied! Does anyone beside me just find these numbers not fitting with the overall picture? I love Zogby, and don't want to shrug off these polls because they don't fit what I'm seeing everywhere else, but... help me out here. Something is amiss.

1. Zogby's state polls are telephone, but are robo-calls.
That's why they go all over the place.

Why not post a link that substantiates your claims?

Thanks

3. I think you're confused
Zogby has two different polls going simultaneousl. The interactive poll is basically experimental and it is not touted as their main poll. The Reuters/Zogby poll is a traditional telephone poll. I think the state polling numbers being picked up by the media are his telephone polls.

4. Zogby has different kinds of polls. The ones discussed in the media
are the phone ones, unless they are specifically identified as "online".

I would simply disregard ALL POLLS now as it is a couple days away.

Your efforts should only be directed towards voting, and getting others to do so.

5. never trusted ZOGBY
yes the source is a right wing newspaper, but it makes good points about ZOGBY. no matter which way he leans, you cant trust a guy that would skew numbers to bolster his own opinion. plus he has never really been that accurate.

so ignore ALL the stupid tracking polls and VOTE!
