nearly fell off chair hearing Kerry might make McCain Sec. of Def. |
|
on this a.m.s Wash. Journal the host showed a newspaper listing who smirk and Kerry would appoint to various jobs. side by side columns. I wasn't paying too much attention, thinking it was just more gabble when I heard, and then looked at the TV as the host read that Kerry might put McCain as Sec. of Def.
I saw McCain's pic on the Kerry column.
If Kerry does anything more then kick McCain in the nuts, then Kerry is nuts.
please tell me I was hallucinating.

11. NEVER...I do not think Kerry would do that after |
|
MCCain has stabbed him in the back. If he is that in bed with the Bushes he can't be trusted. Period. I mean he might be a good man otherwise but he showed how far he is willing to go for his party. I would not trust him as far as I could throw him. Plus he is a bit of a wild card. If he disagreed with Kerry (and since Kerry is a liberal and he is a conservative I'm sure there are many disagreements) he would probably go to the press or other Republicans and leak behind the scenes stuff. I totally don't trust him.

3. I'd have to ask myself... |
|
Did it come from a journalist's newspaper piece...
..or did it come straight from Senator Kerry's mouth.
I'm sure there's some excellent people he's considering, but I'll betcha McCain isn't one of them.

4. Is this like Kerry asking McCain to be his running mate? |
|
That little rumor turned out to be a total lie--one no doubt generated by the Neo-cons to make Kerry look desparate.

it's a brilliantly masterful ploy for moderate votes, a very smart move to leak something like that, if it came from the campaign. It helps much more than it would hurt, because most of the U.S. has a very positive view of McCain.

6. Speculation in news articles. Can you find an attributed quote from JK |
|
or a named campaign aide about this? I haven't seen one.

7. Successful governing means giving everyone something |
|
this is something that the right can be happy about.
Instead of shutting the opposition out in the cold, Kerry gives them an appeasement.
Plus, it stabs W in the back, since W trashed McCain's reputation to get into his usurped position.

he'd be an outstanding choice, IMHO.

15. OMG--not this again!! Sorry, but McCain has also expressed |
|
a desire to the RNC to run for president in '08 (how stupid--too old and not that well). Anyway, was just thinking moments ago about how Kerry needs to clear all repukes out of any and all positions: NO repuke as Sec. of Defense; get rid of Goss; dump the "Tommy Franks" type of military brass, etc. because he will never, never be able to tell whether he is getting good, straight intelligence or whether these vermin are setting him up for horrible failure. DON'T TRUST A ONE OF THEM; NOT A ONE (and I can tell Kerry that it won't bring him one republican vote in '08 so it's no use playing with these vipers---get rid of them all).
