Repubs just called me.....
I was just sitting here and got a phone call. The caller ID said repub party so I anxiously answered. The lady on the other end said that she was calling for the president and wanted to remind me how much he needed my vote Tuesday. I assured her that I would not be voting for the pResident and would probably never support any other repub after the events of the last 4 years.

She politely thanked me for my time and I did the same. She didn't try to argue or convince me that Bush* was our savior or anything. Think it's a sign they are giving up??? I am in WV by the way.........

1. No...just one of the few nice ones...
...believe it or not there are some good repugs....my dad for instance...he is just brainwashed...it isnt his fault...he's just not the smartest person in the bunch and tends to be a follower. He's not a bad person, he just got brainwashed by a corrupt party. I think I came at least CLSOE to convincing him of that yesterday. I really think he is going to cast a secret ballot for Kerry

Dems do the same thing... can't swing the decided, so why bother?

Phone calls are meant to bring out the base and possibly nudge the undecided. Also, when I've been phone banking, when we find a Dem voter, we see if they need a ride to the polls, or if they need the address of their polling location.

Also, we do it to weed out the outdated phone numbers and Bush supporters so that when we make the final GOTV calls on election day, we don't waste time on wrong numbers or the wrong people. The lists we're calling from contain people who may not have voted since the last presidential election, so there's a high probability that people have moved, and a few people who have died.

Also, we try to flag those who have already voted absentee so we don't take time calling them again on election day.

4. Well that's interesting!
I assume that it's legal for them to do that. Not like they are paying them to vote their way.

5. When she said she was calling for the president
..and if you are voting for him, you should have said "Gore isn't running this election"..Lol
I know, it's getting old, but it would have been funny.
