I'm very optimistic about a Kerry win, but |
|
I'm a little scared of the Republicans holding onto the House and Senate.
This could turn into "Monicagate" or something more sinister. You know they will find any reason to impeach.
Just ask the "Big Dog". We can't let this happen again.

1. I'm very optimistic that all those new angry voters are going to vote |
|
straight Dem tickets, and we may just get one or both of those as well.

2. I think you will be surprsied |

at the makeup of both.
The ammount of new voters going straight dem, added to us, and repubs going stright dem (you read right), means we are in for soem surprises
I'd say the Senate is going Demo
The house I have a hunch it will be demo, with a good peppering of third party (Libertarian)
Oh and the knives will be out inside the GOP... that will be a civil war to behold... who knows I have been predicting a Whig fate for them, we may just see it

3. Thanks for the emotional boost.. |
|
I would be satisfied just taking the House to avoid any "impeachment" shenanigans. :-)

4. The Articles of Impeachment are already drawn... |

I have no doubt. Barr, I think, had them ready for Clinton before Starr was appointed!
I think we'll do better than expected, but taking the House is a long shot. Winning the presidency will only be the beginning.

They do so at their own peril. Republicans have played that card and no one bought it then. If they try to go after Kerry like they did Clinton, people will be totally outraged. These past 4 years have activated the Democrats and I don't see this changing once Kerry is elected. The internets have changed the political dynamic and our attention will be focus on the Republican obstructionists who may suddenly decide that want to start holding popularly elected Democratic Presidents accountable for bogus charges...again. It will bode very poorly for Republicans in 2006 if they choose this path.
