"If it were up to Kerry, those explosives would be under Saddam's control"
I've heard so many Republicans surrogates make that argument, and not a single Democratic surrogate or so-called journalist has called them on this.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't these explosives under UN control? Weren't these sites being monitored and guarded by the UN? Didn't the UN warn the US before pulling out that the the US would need to safeguard these sites?

1. If it was up to Kerry
maybe 9-11 would have never happened. Maybe 1100 US Troops would still be alive. Maybe 7000+ US Troops would still be in one piece....

2. As if we are better off with them under the control of terrorists ....
or insurgents. They live in a parallel universe, I am convinced.

3. No they were under Saddam's control. The UN was monitoring them so Saddam
could not use them. However, those weapons never left Saddam's control because no Iraqi would dare touch them and he was not going to give them to anybody else.

4. You're correct. The Bushbot big lie is that the UN was ineffective. >q
Beats me why they get to repeat that inane conclusion unchallenged. Oh, yeah -- it's the liberal media.

6. Well, if I had to choose between unknown terrorists and Saddam
(under UN scrutiny) guess who I'd pick?
